That Ox Sports Radio is trashing MSU and Dan Mullen. Says they are begging MSU fans to call in if anyone wants to shut them up. http://www.theoxsportsradio.com/ or 662-236-2120.

I can't get the live feed to work with my slow arse internet connection so I can't verify what has been said. I think they are on till 9:30.

...edited to change times and add this:

The show is over now but will be back on at noon today. They are on daily from 6-9 with Brent Phillips and Hailey Nutt (little miss nutt), 12-2 with Terrance Metcalf, Derrick Burges and David Johnson, 2-4 with Andy and Andrew then 4-6 with Todd Wade.

He told me that Brent in the morning will talk smack but will hang up on MSU fans when he doesn't want to hear what they are saying. He said you could get a pretty good back and forth argument from Terrance and David. He said you could REALLY piss off Andy easily with the facts.

Anyway, he said they have all been begging MSU fans to call because we've all gone quiet since signing day. Thought some of you might want to give them some facts.

A sports talk show fanning flames and wanting people to call their show? I don't believe you.

They are definitely talking. Basically the common belief among them is that Dan is a terrible recruiter and is smug and arrogant. They don't understand that Dan's plan to bring excitement back to this rivalry. The fact that they are discussing us proves it's working. I'd like some State fans to call and prove that we aren't still licking our wounds.

but there is no way it is worse than it was yesterday. I had to work the Oxford area yesterday and listened to those pricks. It boils down to this, Mullen has severely gotten under there skin and this was the first time since he was hired they had a reasonto fire back. They questioned everything that he had accomplished at State and said the he is the most classless coach in recent history. Also, said that the mothers of all the recruits were severely turned off byMullen and they really appreciated Nutt's approach. It was really biased with them taking a lot of shots at us. I could really care less,I know there fan base is delusional. They took there shots for sure and said that this class was the turning point they needed and that things were going to go back to the way they had always been. TSUN gets all the good recurits and State returns to the cellar. Also, when a caller asked about Raven they said it's as simple as a mother who was really impressed with the TSUN campus and a kid that had his heart set on playing somewhere else! hahaha

Which is awesome. It means he's hurting them. They really want Dan to come on the show, and they are begging for State fans to shut them up. David, Terrence and Derrick will let you talk. Brent will hang up when he gets tired of losing an argument. Andy is belligerent and narrow-minded. I'm just sick of hearing the one-sided arguments. I've called in a couple times, but would love to hear the rest of OUR State chime in.

I HATE Saban. Hate him. Why? Because he kicks our *** repeatedly.

I HATE the Hat. Hate him. I HATE LUS more. Why? Because those MFers have OWNED US for 2 decades. OWNED, as in they should be paying my f'n property taxes.

I don't hate Nutt. I dislike him and think he's a total idiot who acts like a kind of scary weirdo, bordering on psychotic with perv tendencies. But he's fun to watch getting his *** stomped.

I don't hate Kennedy. I think he's a decent coach, but he's gotten his *** handed to him by bury of all people repeatedly.

See how that works?

So we didn't get the recruits we wanted. Does it really matter that they went to Ole Miss? Bottom line is they aren't wearing Maroon.
I'll admit I'm not much for following recruiting because there are so many variables in between when a player exits high school and when he can actually get on the field for any significant playing time. Transfers, grades, suspensions, etc. There's plenty of attrition between faxing your LOI to getting a starting position.

I'm wooly with Mullen and believe that we'll kick TSUN's *** for a 3rd time this year... and run up the score this time for all the 'we beat you in recruiting' fanfare that they've shown.

But I also know that the ball can bounce the other way. You think TSUN had any notion that the wheels would fall off this past year? They were coming off back to back Cotton Bowls and had just nabbed the MVP of the Rose Bowl to be their starting QB. The stage was set for them to go 5-0 with an off week headed into Bama. They had finished #14 and #20 in the polls the previous years.
So how come the results didn't show up on the field?

I sure wouldn't want to be back here in 2012 wondering why we went 4-8 after having such a stellar year in 2010 capped by a NYD beat-down of the nation's winningest program and a #15 final ranking.

Boils down to attrition of players, coaching, and breakdown
On discipline. To their credit they are makings moves to correct
And they will be better next year. Problem is their schedule
Gets a little tougher and their record may only be slightly
Better.

they again get Vandy AND Kentucky again from the East to go along with GA next year whereas we have to play GA, SC and KY. BYU will be a tough opener for them though as they were really improving toward the end of the year last year. They won 4 of their last 5 with the only loss being by one point to Utah and then blew out UTEP in their bowl game. Going across the country to play Fresno St. will also prove much tougher than playing them in Oxford. 6-6 would likely be a nice comeback record for them for the upcoming year. Assuming they beat Vandy, KY, Southern Illinois and LT which is no gimme given that Vandy and KY are both on the road, then if they can win 2 of 4 games with BYU, @Fresno, and both GA and Ark in Oxford then that would get them to 6-6. Given their performance this year and going into 2011 with another new QB if they can somehow get to 7 wins that would have to considered VERY successful. MSU and Auburn might actually be their best chance for wins in the West next year but unfortunately for the Bears they are both on the road and I don't see them winning either.

to spice up this rivalry. I would say mission accomplished. We've definitely got their attention at this point.

Shouldn't they be more concerned with LSU?

Also, didn't Dan say we would never lose to TSUN? What are ya'll worried about?
