Yesterday was my first football game in two years due to my protest of lt and sc. Here are a few observations
1. Tailgating seems to have picked up quite a bit. The junction was a good move. Kudos to whoever made it happen.
2. With the new TV, there isn't a bad seat in the house. I spent the whole time watching that thing. Although, they need to speed up the replay, so it doesn't run into the next play.
3. Everything seems to be choreographed. No dead time during the game.
4. Cant believe the difference in the offense. Whoever did the fark about making chicken salad out of chicken **** was spot on.
5. I won't say anything about the dbs. It has been said.
6. It is nice to have kickers that don't look like five year olds learning to kick for the first time.
7. Special teams as a whole, like the offense has made an unbelievable turnaround.

In summary, I felt like I had entered bizzarroworld from the beginning to the end (with the exception of the final outcome). It actually felt like someone wanted to put a good product out there for the fans. Thanks foglesong, byrne, keenum, and any others that need thanking.

Yeah, I only get to make about one game a year now because of various reasons. But anyway, I was really impressed with the atmosphere this weekend. The addition of the Junction and that video board really adds to the experience. Not to mention all the fans showing up now. I can remember when tailgating at State was only the few motorhomes outside the field house. Now tents stretch from Bell Island all way around the northwest corner of the stadium. State is on par with anyone in the SEC (from what I have seen and experienced and I went to alot of places from 91-2001) on tailgating and atmosphere outside the stadium pregame.

That videoboard is just unreal. I think my wife watched most of the game on it. I had to make myself stop watching it a few times as well. The picture quality blows you away. You can literally see it from the main entrance at 82. Also, I could hear the Jack Cristil calls of games/plays of years gone by from outside Union. That was awesome.

All in all, Mississippi State has a beautiful campus and is a great setting to watch college football. Anyone who says it is a cow college out in the middle of nowhere (17 Rkansas fans), does not have a clue what they are talking about.

Starkville has come a long ways too. I can remember when the only bar in town was Cheers and the only restaurant open after a later game was the fast food joints. I rode around town after the game and saw lots of night life and I got a nice dinner at 11pm. Not bad. Makes me want to move back.

all we talked about around the office was how bad our offense was and how bad of a coach we had. Big turn around this year, all we talk about is the fumbles and what could have been if they did not happen. I still feel good and we will win some games this year.</p>

The last 5 years, when a ranked team came to town, I had to wonder if the scoreboard had enough digits no it.

This year, a ranked team comes to town, and I get excited wondering what Mullen is going to pull out of his hat to give us a chance to win. I also look at top 10 teams and know we could beat some of them on a good day.
