Considering both the officials and the IHSA have screwed up the situation beyond repair, the only truly fair ruling would be to PLAY A 5TH QUARTER.
A ruling in either direction would be unfair. Let the matter be decided on the football field this Saturday at a neutral site. Push the 7A championship game out one week so the winner of Fenwick-PN can plan ESL. My contention is that this would be one of the greatest and most anticipated quarters of football played in Illinois High School history. This is good for the IHSA and takes them off the hook. Imagine the crowds that would attend!
