Some of these guys have been top coaches in the past, but does that mean they are getting it done this season? Here are my rankings:

1. Saben
2. Johnson
3. Meyer
4. Nutt
5. Miles
6. Richt

The last six have not done very well, imo

7. Brooks
8. Spurrier
9. Fulmer
10. Croom
11. Petrino
12. Tubberville

It's amazing to me that coaches with great histories like Spurrier, Fulmer, and Tubberville are sucking so bad this season. I wonder what it means and why it is happening.

South Carolina is 5-2 with a 7 point loss to Vandy and a 7 point loss to Georgia. I don't think they are a great team, but they are not that bad.

Those five in a row are a hell of an accomplishment for that team. Vandy is up against it now. We'll see if they have any more magic.

As far as Nutt, he has brought a lot of excitement to the Rebs and he got that win over Florida. However, I probably should have put him at five or six, since they blew that game at Wake Forest and lost to Vandy.

Spurrier is the Great Coach, but his team has underperfromed this season. Although he is known as the greatest of all quarterback coaches, he has been unable to get Smelley performing near his large ability. He has won the games he should, excpet Vandy. But I don't think they look that good.

if memory serves. Give Spurrier Danny Weurfel & the receivers he had in 96 & he'd look like the ole' ball coach. Of course Corch 34 could probably win with that combo.

Petrino definitely isn't 11th, I think he's the best offensive mind in the league, or at least right there w/ Spurrier.
I'd go:
1. Saban
2. Meyer
3. Spurrier
4. Petrino
5. Richt
6. Miles
7. Tuberville
8. Fulmer
9. Nutt
10. Johnson
11. Croom
12. Brooks

Based on performance, you can in no way put Petrino at 4 (above Richt, Miles, Nutt, Johnson) and Nutt at 9 (behind Petrino, Tubberville, and Fulmer).

Please tell me your list was a joke and we were all supposed to laugh.</p>

And for these great offensive minds, Usc is 79th in scoring and Ark. is 102nd. But yeah I could see where you could rank these guys ahead of Richt and Miles... Idiot.

And when is the last time Spurrier's great offensive mind actually produced a good offense? I'm thinking probably not since he was coaching the Gators.
