trying to take into consideration their opponents:. These are the only games I saw enough of to judge.
Alabama > Georgia > Auburn > Vandy > Ole Miss.
Not putting Florida in because I didn't see enough, and partiality toward MSU would effect my placement with them.

I wasn't impressed with LSU all that much, but they certainly looked better than Ole Miss.

I would, but that's open for debate. It's the first week. You can't really glean much of anything from these games.

UGA will be better once Joe Cocks rebounds from the flu.
LSU didn't look good at all.
Mississippi started off slow, but looked good one the fourth quarter. A home game aGAINst a Top 10 team that has owned the series with you; this was Memphis' Super Bowl.

QB. Ole Miss struggled where they (supposedly) shouldn't have- QB, D-line, even corner. Hodge and Mccluster were really the only bright spots I saw. Well, Powe was actually unstoppable when he really tried.

I guess that's my point here -- even if you want to "worst case scenario" the game like you did (i.e., they played awful), they won a rivalry game on the road by 31, almost doubling the spread. I think they're good enough to win 9 games this year in the regular season.

I think everyone is writing off UT and Auburn after 1 bad year, but they still have talent. OM isn't going to go to Auburn and win easily, and I could easily see UT beating them.
LSU continues to sink with Coach34, while Saban keeps looking better and better.
Also, it's only a matter of time before Arkansas is in the hunt. Once Petrino gets some athletes on defense, they'll be a force b/c he's the third best coach in the league in my opinion.

a bad roughing the QB call keeps the rebels in business to score the put away TD. They added 2 extra TDs that didn't mean anything...and Memphis D was not trying at that point. The final score is deceptive. That being said, I think UM could win lose only 2 with some luck or lose 5 with bad luck.

It's more than just the final score, Memphis stopped trying in the 4th quarter. The point is they repeatedly shut your offense down during the first 3 quarters, and that should NOT happen. Ole Miss's first drive is what they should have all looked like. At one point OM was 1-for-9 on third down conversions. Against a Memphis team that is not supposed to be very good.
You won, and that's all that counts, and maybe you win 9 because of your schedule- but definitely did not look like a BCS team today.

and we played like **** and still won big. That's a good thing almost. Snead will be fine, and I now think Powe is much better than I expected. The things we sucked at can all be fixed I think. Our D was fine. We'll still be able to put some points on the board.
