Because Al is what the term fan represents. Al reps the team in traveling to games, a little crazy and over the top, puts his money where his mouth is and doesn’t shy away from his critics of which there some days are many.

I disagree I am disparaging no one. Many posters who think they matter attempt to ridicule AL about being an attention seeker yet they are here posting the same silly adolescent threads on a weekly basis. No one here matters it’s a message board. Look at Northern Knight as an example he is quickly forgotten. His thread is now at the bottom of second page. We have posters who have little to no life outside the board talking crap about AL. I do not believe we have many posters who donate one bit and this NIL has proved it along with a couple past fundraising efforts. I am simply defending AL because I k ow for a fact he travels to away games multiple ones at that and also donates money to NIL and is not full of BS excuses. He certainly does not have 200 thousand posts or 170 thousand posts. Those are the real drama queens and attention seekers.

I’ve seen Al numerous times at Rutgers sponsored events and he is just like every other fan. I’ve never met him but you can’t miss him. He is an enthusiastic fan who just so happens to live in the capital of the world and donates money to Rutgers athletics. I know the money it takes to make to live in NYC and AL isn’t living off his wife or his parents and lives to post here 24/7. We have no true diehards we have fans with opinions and lots of them that’s it.

Al - I'll tell you the same thing I told Chris Carlin. Stop replying to the haters. By acknowledging them, you encourage them. By ignoring them, they lose interest.

Al likes attention but is not a clown. I actually find some great humor and fun in saying to myself "Oh no Al, you didn't just say that"

I know this is just a burner account and have not figured out who you are yet, but I will. And big deal Al travels to away games. A lot of people on this board do the same. How about you becoming a paying member of this site before you trash the good folks on here. And then start your donations to RU (which I extremely doubt you do).
Al gets a lot of crap on this board but no one can doubt his loyalty to RU and that he puts his money where his mouth is. The issue most have on here is his approach (posting bravado on other boards) / and ability to contradict himself (ex. Schiano get 2 free years but then posts we are going 8-0). We know why he does it. It gets clicks and most fall for it.
You can like/dislike or support/not support Al's posts which is completely your perogative. Anybody doubting his support for RU is a flaming moron.

Sadly that type of attitude has been around since the time of the Flood. Still going to point out several very negative Rutgers haters of Schiano and team who have strangely disappeared for this entire week. Guarantee if we do lose Saturday they’ll be back yapping like dogs in the kennel.
you and I don't agree on everything but we also agree on many things- that is what I love on here with the right people.
I feel like you, I, and a few others can go at it on some subjects but never a real attack. OK- maybe sometimes, but in all, we can also see where we agree on things as well and look past those previous and upcoming arguments.
But here are some that will only see one side and never agree with certain people, regardless if they really do or not.
One commonality we both share is a love for Rutgers the school and its student athletes. It has always amazed me that even some of our very own continue to hope we lose so they can say Schiano sucks. We don’t accept mediocrity but understand where we were, what we became and why it is so difficult to turn this around. I believe we will see the day when people will say “ that Rutgers team is good, very good.”
