My theory on the basketball struggles

Not that anyone give's a ****, but here's my theory on the basketball struggles this year.

1. We don't have enough depth in the post. Injuries and the lack of Sidney getting cleared have hurt the team. We have almost nothing in the post when Varnado is out. For all the Kodi love out there, the guy can't score in the paint unless it's a wide open dunk.

2. My completely speculative theory is that Stansbury early in the season and perhaps during the ooc play, kept expecting Sidney to get cleared and never dreamed that it would take this long to come to a resolution. The resolution still hasn't come by the way. I think the uncertainty in Sidney's status has taken a lot of the time when Stans tinkers with his lineup in the OOC play and interfered with him getting the rotation he wants. Further, I think the players keep expecting Sidney to be able to play and perhaps they haven't resolved in their minds they're on their own out there.

3. Just like any other team, we live and die by our point guard. The games that Dee's played really well, we've won, the games he's struggled in we've lost. Dee played really well against Ole Miss and we won on the road. Dee struggled with Alabama and Arkansas and we lost. We need Dee to get a bit more consistent. You can't win without a solid point guard.

This is not an excuse for some of the disappointing losses, but I think it might help explain some of the lack of chemistry or flow that we've had in our offense this year. This definitely isn't Coach Stansbury's best team or coaching performance, but I continue to disagree with the idea of firing him or giving him ultimatum's.

Why cant Lewis help us 5-7 minute a game? We looked fairly good with Kodi at the 5 in the first half against UPig, and then didnt do it again- why?

I dont think Sidney being ineligible has hampered the way Stansbury has tinkered with line-ups. Thats just dumb. You play the people you have on the team. You dont do things in games in anticipation of someone coming in 2 weeks later. Stansbury even said as much one time. This one is just a weak excuse you are making for him. And as far as players, they dont give a **** if he plays or not- they want their own playing time and dont really want someone to come in and take that away from them.

You can't win without a solid point guard.- If we actually ran an offense, it would help the PG tremendously. Just like installing a real offensegave Dixon a chance to show his talent, Bost would do the same if we had an offense besides ballscreens.

with our current players and current schedule we should be about 18-2 (4-1)...and the most likely SEC loss was @UM. Losing to Ark & Bama on the road essentially erased our win @UM. We have to beat the rebs at home now.
