My version of "IT"...

First off, I was planning to pm my info to DS like someone mentioned in a thread the other day, but couldn't because I was on a banham vacation.

Secondly, My limited sources made me feel really good about Jones, Mix, Ross, Toby, and Mackensie Alexander. Obviously, I was wrong about Mix, Alexander, and maybe Toby.

Now, as for Coach34's IT ****....
What I confirmed with him that I had heard, was that a certain 5 star recruit was going to commit to us and had some good intel on TheUofOM. That was before the "IT's coming" stuff.
Not to throw C34 under the bus, but I'm pretty sure his "IT" referred to a recruit that he thought was going to sign, but didn't. Once that recruit didn't sign....well, the "intel info" became the "IT", I believe.
Now, to 34's defense, he may have been including the two pieces of info together to form the "IT", so there's no way to 100% confirm that his entire "IT" turned to "****".

Therefore, in summary...

1. C34 has some above average sources...better than anything I've got for sure
2. Those sources can be wrong just like anybody else
3. He doesn't HAVE to share his info, but everybody knows it's better when he does
4. Whether right or wrong, his info is entertaining
5. We've got enough people spewing negative **** and false info about MSU in the media. And we KNOW that 34, while not a media member, is one of the few that right or wrong tries to benefit MSU with all of his info. So why not embrace him and his info?

I for one, hope that he continues giving his info and continues being the thorn in the OM fan base's side that he has somehow become.

I have had my differences with both you and coach but I agree with most of your post. We all have different sources that vary in strength depending on the situation. I said we would sign Jones and Shumpert a month ago and stuck by it. I did waver a bit the last couple of days on Jones. I have no problem with coach and his stirring the pot. It's better than reading some "breaking bad" post etc...None of my sources mentioned an elaborate scheme to dig up dirt on Ole Miss, and I think it's unlikely but who knows? I say keep the info coming! Either way, I'm glad we landed Jones and I hate we lost Mix even though a lot of people claim he was overrated. Obviously Auburn didn't...

How was your vacation?

I noticed post traffic on the board nearly decreased by 50% while you were on administrative leave.

And as far as recruiting goes and the "IT" factor, there really was no "IT". Everything that happened today was pretty much expected. All in all, I think we came out good. From my perspective and what I'm focusing on, hopefully we picked up some high character Bulldogs. If we are going to make it to the next level, talent alone won't get us there...we need leaders and players that WANT to be developed.

To use the words of Mike Singletary in regards to the selfish/low character recruits and subsequent players(even though they may have a 17 load of talent, example-Auburn's demise among other programs):

I will say this, I enjoy reading all the speculation from C34...and others who seem to have some insight, and in fact made me excited for what today would bring for MSU...when "IT" wasn't "huge" in most people's eyes, the chatter and anticipation up to today made it that much more exciting. I was slightly disappointed with "IT" at first, but looking at the class we have I can't be too disappointed. But the doom and gloom BS that a lot of people bring here is ridiculous...

I'll make up my on mind if I think you are right or wrong and not going to lose much sleep either way. What I don't get are the dog fans on here ready to rip the head off a fellow dog, even an obnoxious one. For the Internet I'll take an obnoxious dog fan over any other team's fan any day. From the vitriol spewed towards C34 and others claiming a positive outcome for State I think there are a few who would have rather seen Jones go to UM then have C34 be right...for once.

Obviously you can't read or just chose to misinterpret. The 5 star DID sign...with MSU. And as for "IT"...no I didn't spend ANY time on it because I was banned. And once again, that's why I didn't send my info to DS. Also, the reason I didn't share that CJ (the 5 star) had "intel", was because I figured people would make such a big deal about it that it could cause him to get pissed. Happy? I was looking out for the program instead of trying to make Tin Cup happy...is that ok?

Ive never said I had great sources, and I never said **** about "IT" because I've been banned since "IT" was even mentioned on here. So at least get your facts straight before coming at me. Aight?

ETA: And no, my "it" never existed. And my source is not a guess. I have a source in the athletic program and I would never tell it to you or this board. And I'm not sure why you would ask or expect anyone to do so. Just enjoy the info, and take whatever you do, or don't, want to take from it. Or at least, that's the way I look at it. My source isn't great anyway, nor have I ever claimed it to be.

My "IT" still hasn't dropped yet. I have some sources but especially did this year as I am pretty close to a member of Houston's coaching staff. And another who coached in the MS/AL all-star game. I felt confident Jones would sign based on what I heard from my sources. But again my "IT" is still coming. And it has to do with the NCAA. Can't say, right now but I will tell you this the Holder incident is REAL. But isn't my "IT" either.
