Yikes, never respected this kind of thing. Seems to become more of the normal lately. Smaller football communities, swo for example, where I played and my two sons, you would never see this. Grass isnt always greener on the other side.....

Here's the problem:
1. The NCHSAA Recruiting / Undue Influence 1.2.1 - 1.2.5 is not being enforced at all......at all!

2. These Charlotte teams and/or the ones calling themselves elite teams are the ones going out, recruiting, and preying on the other schools by picking and choosing their star players.

NOTE: I have high school football friends through out North Carolina. With that being said, there is proof of Text conversations out there bribing players to move on and come where they will be seen(make story short).

I was inches from pressing the "snitch" button, but I was told to stand fast!

The same college recruiters who seen them at Myers park will see them at their new schools. If the players are talented enough they will be noticed. I don’t care if they play at jerkwater high school. Something else going on here. 👀 The underbelly of high school football that nobody speaks of but all know it exists.

As you can see, those Charlotte folks intentionally skip over what is hiding in the dark and rather make a mockery of the subject in order to dodge what is really at hand...... they are the true problem!

Maybe that's why Blue N Golds team went from Hero to Zero last season.......... Karma!

I am not sure what the two individuals lives are like that were intentionally recruited by the two different Charlotte Schools, but in general 70% percent of the fathers desert their children, so they end up with the mother raising them. of course money is going to talk - and it will talk expediently.

There’s no doubt in my mind that these Charlotte Schools paid these two players that left. They were already getting recruited in Richmond..... So why leave? For the

How will they afford a house in Charlotte? Cost of living is off the chart!!!!!! C'MON man........

That will tell you how serious it is and Charlotte has absolutely no sympathy what so ever.

The NCHSAA has to simply enforce the law that is in place and take this chip off their shoulders and stop walking on egg shells.

Times have changed...MONEY is the name of the game now. 7v7s, local and national camps along with schools camps respectively. It's crazy how a offer from UNC or Clemson can make any fringe player into an national name. And now that kids can make money from their likeness...the Bryce Young kid at Alabama is worth millions without taking a meaningful game snap. I'm from the old school like mostly everyone else on here but HS football is big money these days. And with Charlotte the hub in the state for big time football...they're going to come here and play besides Watauga or Robbinsville....not dissing those places but better opportunity when u have a 704/980 area code.

You should know it is in the NCHSAA by laws that they are not an investigate enforcement entity. The LEA is responsible. The NCHSAA rules on what is brought before them.

Not only with high school sports but for parents employment opportunities. A lot of the smaller areas are drying up.
Yes duh!
The LEA you speak of reports up the chain to the NCHSAA about issues and/or concerns at the lower level and the NCHSAA then becomes the final approving authority..... correct?

You should be ashamed of yourself to even continue using this stupidity about employment. THE MOST HORRIFIC MOVE you could announce on a public platform. This stupidity was being advertised before COVID times and now you're abusing it during the process.

Yet the parents that "supposedly" landed a better job in Charlotte are also the parents of two superstars in Richmond County that are already getting recruited as well correct? YOU SHOULD FEEL SORRY FOR YOURSELF TO EVEN USE THIS GIG!

And so what you're saying now is that the parents of both kids lost full trust and credibility on Coach Bryan Till, and the coaches of these two Charlotte schools sold their trust and confidence to these same parents by investing in their kids with funds and/or apartment complex.......correct?

This is about stupid!

For over 20 years kids in Charlotte, parents have been relocating their kids to different programs, for different reasons. Playing time, Charlotte is the 2nd largest banking capital in the US, which brings in new families daily, They're moving to teams they believe will get them more exposure, they don't like the coach, they like the academics at the private schools, One of the 1000's of trainers convinced a kid to leave and play for the program they're affiliated with. If you don't believe the reasons are valid. It's not your call. Parents are going to do, what they believe is best for their kid. Turn in a lease agreement, or a mortgage statement. 2 bills with the address showing. Electric or bank statement..etc You're good with CMS. They're not going around knocking on doors to verify residency. Grimsley was a beneficiary of open enrollment. They had some talented Kids from Page relocate. It's not going to stop. :)

I forgot about the Greensboro all star team. I think Greensboro is still small enough where the guys probably had some type of chemistry from years before(ie Page, middle school, little league). Hard to get that with upper classmen transfers in a city the size of Charlotte.

Note, I am not affiliated with any team and do not live in Charlotte.

I have no idea about the parents employment. I made the statement regarding more employment opportunity because I live a couple of counties east of Charlotte...on a farm but I am not a crop farmer. People leaving the area to work in Charlotte metro is now very common.

I have no idea about the parents employment.

I have no idea what their relationship is with Coach Till nor their living arrangements. I have no idea if the move was even related to sports.

Very disappointed that you would attack me in that manner.

They may not be right now but they have in the past. To the extent to have a CMS police officer set outside a house all night for multiple nights.

We both know parents, whether a sensible decision or not, will do what they think is going to advance their child's athletic career which to the parents usually means college scholarship opportunities.

You are being a little overdramatic. Parents move there kids for a lot of reasons most now are for what is the real or perceived greener pasture of wins and exposure. The schools that are winning naturally get more transfers than others its very logical.... who would have picked South Meck to be getting transfers just a short 2 years ago Evans as most of us know with those resources and home grown talent would eventually turn that sleeping giant around. If you have evidence and its credible and HS Football CSI is what floats your boat have at it others have tried . These things go in cycles me myself I like watching great ball but also the climb of some of the new Coaches and players on the stage. You can have talent falling out the windows of the school but if you don't build a culture and know how to balance the egos (Asst Coaches, Kids, Parents & Admin) it becomes a reality series.....and good content for this board....LOL

SV2 do you realize how many Richmond, Cumberland and Scotland County people live in Charlotte-Mecklenburg? How many migrate that have nothing to do with sports? My nephew attended Mallard Creek and Richmond County highschools in the same school year. He couldn't play a lick of football. It was for family reasons. Just saying there alot of students changing schools daily that have nothing to do with sports, but having mom/grandma live in Richmond, Dad/uncle lives in charlotte.

Most of these transfers are because of coaching changes, family dynamics, personal trainers, 7 v7, friends and I would say academics is #2 reason. Hell we have 9/10/11 year olds switching elementary schools for basketball, and switching middle schools for sports. At one point kids were switching schools to go to West Charlotte and Harding for the band. How many fake address are suburban children for academics at MP, South, AK or Providence? We go crackdown on that too?

Not at all. TBH Richmond has the clear advantage in not having to deal with multiple highschools. 90% of their middle schools students go to Richmond. Richmond also has the new Richmond Elite youth program that directly works with the school. No highschool in Charlotte has all the middle schools dedicated to one high school and a dominate dedicated youth football program where actual Richmond County coaches work with it.. Then we wont even get into community support. I'd say advantage Richmond County BIG as there is no competition for players.

For every Vance, MC, Hough, there is a Garinger, East Meck, or Hopewell losing players but no one cries for them.

There is definitely recruiting in Charlotte. But its not the schools themselves fore the most part. Its the academics, 7 v7 trainers, youth ball coaches, friends. A lot more transfers occur for various reasons other than football. What Hough/MP do is something a little newer but it evens out after while.

No did not question Byran Till's credibility I responded to SV2 on a internet football board. i looked up Bryan Till because he stated his name on said board and he is a Football Coach at Richmond County and based on my research seems to be a bit in his feelings about a few of his kids leaving to go to a Charlotte school which is understandable. Coaches work very hard and when a possible impact player(s) leave(s) it cuts deep. I kinda pride myself on knowing a bit about the space of HS & College Football on and off the field but don't take any debate personal or feel the need to give credentials. We are in changing times in the sports landscape and HS is just mirroring what happens first at the higher levels no more no less. Is it week 1 yet??????

For over 20 years kids in Charlotte, parents have been relocating their kids to different programs, for different reasons. The kids still have to play and perform when it counts. Butler had a every chance to finish Grimsley off but didn’t do it. Once it was mentioned that Butler played a Greensboro All Star team I didn’t feel as bad.

In the early 2000s Independence/Olympic had more wide open offenses so a QB would go there if they wanted to be noticed. Butler had years where the running backs and defensive backs would go to great college programs so a family would move into the school zone to enroll. It’s nothing new.
