most home runs before the all star break since 2000.

what i heard described about the baseballs was that the thickness of the threads have been reduced resulting in the pitcher not having the grip and the aero to spin and cut the ball with as much ferocity as years passed. also resulting in not as much resistance on the ball when it's traveling through the air allowing it to go further and faster with a better aero package so to speak.

but that is a lot of damn home runs again out of no where.

i like my athletes juiced personally. me don't care

Well I must admit I saw something tonight that came straight outta trailer park at work tonight on break. Some dude was in the parking lot with his girl that worked there and he was driving a truck with a bunch of porta potties on the back of it. All of the sudden you hear a girl scream get the hell off me! You see her jump out of the porta potty truck and screams he just hit me. Well I didn't want to miss this so myself, 2 others, and the woman security guard go running over to see what's going on. The girl is crying while the guy in the porta potty truck went speeding off. He didn't get very far as he wasn't very hard to spot and was taken to jail. I don't know who I feel worse for the people who will have to clean out the overflowing porta potties where he was supposed to take those or the girl. Either way he punched the hell out of her. I suspect his community service before a ten yr prison sentence will be cleaning out the shitters at the stadium

Fake news.

The truth is:

1) video, advanced scouting, physical fitness and acceptance of striking out - today's hitters back leg it and swing harder. Bat speed is markedly FASTER than it was in past. What does that have to do with the ball?

2) the ballparks are TINY. This causes little dudes to hit 25 easily.

3) Judge and Stanton are freaks. Deal with it. Pitchers, average ones, top 95mph on the gun. Dudes are shaped by science of sport. See golf.

Facts. All 3 of them. I have no problem conceding that. And I concur that none of them have anything to do with the ball. But allow me to retort...

1) Pitchers also have access to video and advanced scouting on the hitters. And to advanced training techniques. I will concede the rest of this one.

2) Hard to argue much with this one because it is a fact that the newer parks are definitely built hitter friendly. However...the new Yankee stadium has the exact same fence dimensions as the old Yankee stadium. Exactly. Yet many more homers hit this year (and in the last couple of years) than in the past...in the same sized park. Hmmmmm.

Side note: 318' left field fence? 314' in right field? Are you effing kidding me? What a freaking joke. I played on several fields in HS with deeper dimensions. No wonder the Yankees hit so many home runs every year. A decent 12 year old lefty could be a home run king at Yankee Stadium. smh

3) Can't argue much with this one.

But you forgot one important fact...

4) The ball is juiced.

Dimensions of the field are affected by the wind patterns of the building shell. The old Yankee stadium had "Death Valley" in left center... it no longer exists. Balls fly out of the new joint, especially right center.

Judge is an anomaly because his spray pattern for homers is to all fields. Discredit his homeruns all you want, but if his average homer is 420' with an exit velocity of 117mph, he's still hitting bombs in the old Tigers Stadium.

Insufferable or not, my team will be a dominating force in 2-3 years as I suggested.

Ha ha ha.

I'd be interested in seeing and average fastball velocity vs. average bat speed chart, but alas, I'm not the Elias sport bureau. I would imagine it would look a lot like 2005-2017 UK basketball with average age of starting players vs. amount of fun had by fans.

Ha ha ha.

Dimensions of the field at Yankee Stadium past and present are a joke. 314'? Hahahaha

I haven't said a word about Judge. He is a beast. No argument there.

And the main thing to keep in mind here is that your team ain't doing jack shite THIS season. They will fold (are currently in the process of folding)...just as I prophesized.

Similar to tennis. Meth fueled Andre Agassi sold tons of Nike shoes and all the kids loved him. Then we got stuck with losers like Andy roddick who was in Dawson's Creek and loved to suck D.

The pussification of American sports.

Yet another reason not to be a vegan...

Vegans all Democrats? What?

So a friend of mine made the statement that all Vegetarians and Vegans are most likely Democrats, and I was stating we're a well rounded bunch. He's very sure of himself however, so it made me very curious as to the answer. I tried to make sure it was all anonymous, as I didn't actually want political debate to make everyone all angry etc.

Meh. Roddick definitely isn't a gay. He was nailing Mandy Moore back when she was a young smoke show. And then he married an even hotter babe, Brooklyn Decker. And he won a slam or two...including the US Open if I'm not mistaken. And was ranked #1 in the world for a minute. He ain't no Conners or McEnroe or even an Aggasi or Sampras...but he's alright in my book as far as US men's tennis players go.

Yeah, Brooklyn is pure hotness. She actually seems like a pretty cool chick too. Seen her interviewed on the Dan Patrick Show a couple of times.

Mostly wasted day. Got up & ate breakfast. Everyone was tired, so back to bed. Got up at noon. Back to the Smithsonian, then met our congressman's page and toured the capitol. Watched a bit of the House in action. Secret Service agent kept giving me the stink eye.

Gotta take time to figure out the transit system here. I don't mind hoofing it, but the complaining of the 12 yo is tiresome.

I don't know how Kooky does it. I'm not a big city guy.

Today at a gas station I saw a very large woman with a tail attached to her butt. (I don't even think @Willy4UK would eat this butt hole) or she sat down on the family cat and didn't realize it. Poor bastard.

The ole lady was giving the cat hell today for jumping on the kitchen table. While I secretly agreed with her, I could not hold back a zinger. I told her " leave that cat alone, he's the only decent ***** around here!" Clearly, ***** won't be on my dinner plate tonight. A good comeback is worth it sometimes.

Willie's Fantasy?

A biggun with a similar measurements, once let one rip while I was taking care of buisness from behind. I bravely pressed on. Needless to say, that was the end of our rendezvous's .damn all those English classes and I didn't know the plural form of rendezvous. Damn I'm a failure lol
