a couple nights in Gatlinburg over the weekend. rented a cabin out in bfe with an outdoor hot tub on the back balcony. to say you have banged your wife in one of those outside yada yada is cool. but damn its lot of work. no grip, traction, slippery as hell. no good footing. really gets hot as **** after a while. think i threw out my shoulder somehow during that escape. hurts like hell. don't know what else would have done it. worth it , yea, but damn.
Not sure I could do that in a strange hot tub. No telling what bacteria got jammed in the various orifices.

Soooo...school is starting back and my oldest is involved in everything under the sun. XC, basketball, student council, orchestra, clubs, etc...

Don't get me wrong...I am very glad she is so involved and active...but I'll be damned if every one of those activities hasn't already started in some form or fashion...and school doesn't start till next week. That's right...school hasn't even started yet...but I have already been to the school fortyelevendozen times. And that's with me skipping all of the "mandatory" parent meetings. smh

Pro tip for all of you future parents / parents of tiny tots:

"Mandatory" meetings are for suckers. There are pre-meeting emails and a follow up email with all the info you need.

I went to a band meeting last night that started at 6:30. At 7:00, when they were still on topic 1 of a two page agenda, I ghosted. Pro move. Pay the checks, fill out the forms. Split.

Nope. Still amateur hour since you showed up in the first place. The pro move would have been to be kicked back at your crib sipping on a beer (or in your case, a fruity drink) at 6:30 sharp.

How else would I have been able to give them my 'hard earned' money?

OK I guess. Let's call it a semi-pro move. My kids' school does all of the forms on line. And they get the money way before the first meeting. And they STILL expect you to go to the useless meeting.

Well, this is only the largest school organization with the highest budget in central Kentucky, so it would make complete sense to depend on personal checks and printed out Google docs ...

Nobody ever said love was easy -- relationships take work.

Goddamn Coldplay is playing Giant Stadium tonight causing HELL on my already miserable commute.

Screw them and their ****** fans. Stick it, Gwenterrtg Paltrow... Stick it Apple.
Birds go flying at the speed of sound,
To show you how it all began,
Birds come flying from the underground,
If you could see it then you'd understand

They are the Luke Bryan of a pop music group. Absolutely terrible. All of their songs blow except one which I can live with

Man, I am caught up watching this flick on Sundance called The Warriors. It's a really dumb movie with an even dumber story line about gangs and the acting is horrible...just remarkably horrible. I vaguely remember watching it on HBO back in the early 80's. It's one of those "so bad it's good" type of deals. And I can't stop watching it. Partly because I don't remember how it ends and partly because it is so bad that it is funny. Just. Can. Not. Look. Away.

I look at all these freshmen coming in over the years with Cal. But i can't help to think about the way Ron Mercer looked coming in. Certainly wasn't built like MKG or Terrence Jones, but that MF'er looked like a 35 yr old father of 5. Dude was older than me, but physically wasn't. Ol Ron Mercer. On Medicare by now
