A-f***in-men! I have a cousin who has a grandson that does the traveling baseball team thing. Just like most of these over privileged kids, he got named something that would have gotten our *** kicked when I was a kid, Noah. They play all over the state and even in West Virginia and Tennessee. It's beyond annoying. The worst part is all the pictures his grandmother posts on Facebook. During the summer it seems that's half of what I see when I am on it.
Youth baseball (in Lexington and Louisville) is 100 percent ********..range rovers, Beaumont Reserve phucks, jagoff parental units and insular community douchebaggery and all. To hell with those bastards.

My favorite is the stacking of teams at both leagues at Cardinal Run. If your kid wasn't on 'the team' starting in coach pitch, then they're playing for 2nd until they get to high school. Four dads, all 'coaches' with their kids protected plus one or two other protected kids. Shocking how that keeps happening.

(Disclaimer: one of The leagues was supposed to roll that stuff back a little this yet. No clue if they did)

Oh I've heard. Man I miss the days of neighborhood ball. Garden Springs was the ****. Baseball everyday but Sunday. Girls hanging out by the dugouts. Concession stands and pool open all summer. I hate that my kids are missing out on that.
Jersey version:
  • Boys playing or practicing baseball with open debate as to which league was stronger...
  • Dudes trying to be cool like Kelly Leak, Schwinn Sting Ray pile (no helmet, no chain locks)
  • Girls chomping on candy necklaces, pop rocks and Bubble Yum had spider eggs
  • intolerable heat
  • a neighbor kid with a pack of firecrackers
  • the other neighbor kid who you only were friends with cause he had the pool
  • post-play run to Dairy Queen for a Mr Misty brain-freeze session.

hell parents were stacking teams when i was kid back then too. i usually played at two different levels. you could sub for the league above your age level when they were short handed, so i played on my team and then played a league ahead of my age all the time all summer every year. my favorite part was after we won the championship, (yes i was on one of those stacked teams every year lol) was the trip to pizza hut as a team then on to the pool party and said kid's house who;s parents had a pool!

I was on the Yellow team two years in a row. All the uniforms for every team where exactly the same (white shirt and pants). The only variation was the color of the lettering and hat. You also wore those stirrup socks in your team color.

I remember going to Pizza Hut after the season. I can think we got second place one year.

Then dad got a boat. Swimming fishing and water skiing are way more fun than standing around in the blazing sun all afternoon.

Why do you think the expression out of left field exists? No one is paying attention out there.

Meh. I watched the first half. It was ok. Nothing great either way. The second half started with a barrage of fouls on the Zags bigs, so I turned it off & watched something else. Got back in time to see the last 2 min. 3 pt game and Kennedy Meeks is sitting on the floor holding the ball with one hand clearly out of bounds.

College basketball was just down this year. UNC was a good (enough) team, but not a great team. They just happened to get a lot of calls going their way. Given the same whistle, there were about 10-12 teams that could have won it all this year. It was the same team that went to the final game last year. Imagine if we had returned the 2015 team.

20 years of academic fraud and John Higgins (even though he didn't call the game last night he completed his task) get you a title handed to you and virtually no investigation. I don't understand why UNC got such a favorable whistle in every single game? Their big guys don't ever frigging foul? Just the guys they play against foul like crazy?

Didn't watch one second of the final four or the championship game, but saw that the refs did enough in both to make sure UNC won. My faith in the sport is completely broken. They cheat their *** off for 20 years, get preferential treatment by the NCAA, the media, and the refs to walk to a title. I'm just emotionally detached from anything college basketball now, more than '15 Wisky or the last few Tubby years.

I mean clearly UNC has set the bar, cheat your *** off, no one really cares.

The worst was hearing jagoffs on the radio this morning talking bout the UNC way, how Roy develops players for 4 years, etc.

Hey maybe Sasha will be our 4 year McD AA and he'll be worth a **** eventually. Always thought he looked like a UNC player, tbh.

And Diallo. That mfer loves school so much he came earlier; surely he'll stay for a while.

And Brad! Sweet lil big-calfed Brad ain't going nowhere!
