Oh f you lucky bastard.

Tell blue bell I said "hi".

If I was really bout that life I'd just drive out west and stock up on some blue bell. Might just do that. A summer without ice cream is no summer at all.

What other blue bell flavors did they have?

Kook, you'd be proud of me. Wifey and I were watching one of the crime shows, and the perp was wearing a Yankees throwback jersey #23. Wifey asked who's number that was and I instinctively said, "Donnie Ballgame's."

Of course, for a second she thought his last name really was "Ballgame" haha, and when I told her it was actually "Mattingly," she thought I was being a smartass [laughing].
My wife did the same with Johnny Football. She was astonished at the "coincidence" that someone with that last name would indeed grow up to play football.

UK and USCjr are the only two SEC schools not to have a player drafted in the 2017 NFL draft.

Boom Williams did get signed as an undrafted FA by the bengals though. Good for him...but he shoulda stayed at U.K. for another season.

I would never have thought to throw "a pinch of salt" in an RKT recipe. Just.figured you threw a couple of buckets full of sugar and some butter into a bowl...stir that stuff up and then dump in some Rice Krispies and...stir it up some more. The vanilla I get. Just didn't figure on the salt.

But I guess there's at least a pinch of salt in every recipe. So like my buddy Vincent used to say...I shoulda better known better.

I want to start a "Tubby has as many championships as Cal" thread on rafters, but I won't.

Start it...and they will reply. (Think field of dreams and then read it again)

You start that thread and I will post in it. I am going all out pro-Tubby too. Or at least it will seem that way at first.

Do it, mash...Do it!!! I double dog dare you!!

Most sweet confections use a slight bit of salt to punch up sweet items. Common.

Mowed the grass today. Got done just before the rain set in. Like 10 minutes before. Thankful that it worked out that way.

I often wonder (read as: fantasize) what my house would like surrounded by 5 acres of gravel???

Had to lay down the "this living room needs to be picked up before any naps happen today" as I walked out to the grocery store this afternoon. Ultimatums are fun. Had to use a couple the last few days.

Give the lime dust from the gravel a few years and it would all be weeds and then ultimately grass again.

No getting out of yard work. Not that easy.

Had a somewhat productive day. Killed some zombies on xbox this morning. Cleaned out the deck on my zero turn and sharpened blades. Greased everything. Checked air pressure on tires. Ready to rock again. Organized camping supplies for this coming weekend. Heading to LBL with another family while our sons are doing their brotherhood for the order of the arrow in boy scouts. Grilled porkchops and brats this afternoon. Chops had been marinating since last night. While the kids were entertaining themselves earlier I talked the wife into sneaking off with me and had mid afternoon relations. And had several beers. One of the best Sundays I've had in a while. And the way things are looking. I might get lucky again tonight. Keeping fingers crossed.

@Kooky Kats saying "I reckon" in his last few posts reminds me of Josie Wales saying "I reckon so" in just about every scene of that classic flick.

So that's how i read each of kooky's last few posts…in Josie Wales' voice...except i slurred the words for effect in accordance with what i assume to be his current state of buzz. I slurred the words slightly more with each post.

While true…I respectfully request that you quit ruining my gravel yard fantasy, man. TIA

I've spent most of the weekend pacing up and moving all of the furniture and stuff on the main floor of the house to the upstairs and basement to prepare for the painter that is coming tomorrow.

I'm not entirely happy about paying someone to do something that I could do myself, but I'm pretty happy to not have to paint.

Moving everything feels like a dress rehearsal. I have a job (phone) interview Wednesday.

Norman seems to be stressed out with everything being different in his part of the house. Caved and let him come down to the basement. He stinks and now my basement does too.

What color of paint?
