Pretty much the low point of my entire fantastical foosball career was almost losing to the ulcers late in this season (only won by 8). Just being honest here...that’s about 1/3 of a rung above rock bottom.
For those of us who shall forever remain twitter-less...I say thank you.

So we've had a golden doodle puppy for 6 months now (and YES she's been officially certified as THE best girl ever, suck it haters). It cracks me up every time she has a poo because she's incredibly predictable. First she'll mill around smelling the grass aimlessly, chase a leaf or two, or bark at a random sound. I know when she's getting down to bidness because she'll start to weave back and forth in a figure-8 pattern. When she starts her approach, I've gotten into the habit of verbally paraphrasing an old 70's NBA commercial featuring Elvin Hayes playing ball with a special-needs kid. In it, he's teaching the kid to shoot and he says, "Get that rhythm...get that rhythm...shoot that ball. That's my man." I change it to, "Get that rhythm...get that rhythm...drop that load. That's my girl." She gets really excited when I say it, and of course then immediately circles back to inspect and smell it.
Tell me you named her “Snake Plissken”?
Sadly, I cannot. Wifey overruled me. Went with "Raychel" (ugh on the alternate spelling) cause that's what she'd have named a kid if she'd had a girl.

Wild card weekend is 2nd for me only to the first weekend of the NCAA. Some madness. Cincy fans finally have something to look forward too. Burrow-Chase combo is going to be nasty for yrs to come. Agreed, but let’s see how they do this weekend. We’ll see if my wife’s-former-math-teacher’s-daughter can bring home some hardware as a coach.
Also, I am very pro-cheerleading; wife cheered and coached, daughter is cheering, but I still don’t consider it a sport. Unless they win Nationals again, in which case it is a sport and a very important one at that.
I’m complex like that.
It’s a cliché, but having plans and then having those same plans cancel(l)ed is just about the best feeling in the world. Woke up to a “sorry, we can’t today” text and my day has improved eleventy-fold.

I think we might have had our very last snow day last week. FCPS has never used NTI for weather and now we are. Luckily, kids and I should be wrapped up by noon-ish, if they stay focused.
