The Bam goal tend that wasn't. The tickle foul on Willis. The absolute mugging of Fox at the end of the half. Those are going to stick in my brain for a long time.
John Higgins. John frigging Higgins cost us this game. We were absolutely not allowed to play two halves with our best 5 or 6 players. When we got momentum either the whistle was swallowed or they were gifted a call. He's an absolute rat bastard.
Watching Jaws for the gazillionth time, and I can honestly say I'd really love for Higgins to pull a Cap'n Quint and slide into the mouth of a great white shark.
Yeah well, when I made my prediction about 2 months ago I wasn't counting on the Cats having to deal with the worst half of officiating I have ever seen. And that ain't no joke.
I played in 130+ college basketball games. And I have watched hundreds of thousands of games on TV. And that first half was the worst half of officiating I have seen in my entire life. EVER. Just horrible.
Having said that...the officials called it pretty clean in the second half and we overcame the horrible first half and got a 5 point lead...which we blew in about a minute. Monk was nonexistent for most of the game. Not sure why Fox didn't drive to the hoop more often...that was baffling. Thought Hawkins should have played more. Thought Cal should have gone to a zone several times in that game. Especially when we got the 5 point lead and Roy called the TO. I would have gone zone out of the timeout just to give them a different look and because you know they drew up a play for man to man defense. And because they had missed their last 3 three point shots.
Oh well...it was a good run. Wheel in the next group of youngsters so Cal can ***** and moan about how young we are next season. Rinse. Repeat.
Getting awful tired of that bitching and moaning too. Instead of sending five or six in a draft class where a couple are D-league or Euroball bound, how about you get a couple to return, you greasy haired c**ksucker!
