Exactly. Nutt is usually pretty hesitant to cut ties with a player. Take Tig Barksdale for example. The guy may never play a snap for us, but all ties have not been cut yet. They're still giving him the opportunity to get things turned around.

Patterson must have been making no progress. I hate that he's gone, because I think he had a lot of potential with his size and strength out wide. He still needed to learn how to run routes, but he had some tools you can't teach. If I'm looking for a silver lining, it should open up a spot for one of the many big time WR recruits in Mississippi for the 2011 class.
Patty P's dismissal will have no bearing on how many of the WRs in Mississippi will sign with the Rebs. You were getting Brassel, Singleton and Moncreif regardless.

You're probably right, but quit raining on my silver lining.

no talent character guys ? The point here is bringing in known 17 ups that are more likely than not going to be a cancer to your program is stupid. You take a chance on every player you sign , why the hell would you take on someone else` known problems ?

Taking these kinds of kids says you`re either not doing your job our you are outright desperate. IF we are desperate let`s crank up the old Tyler/Sherrill recruiting machine and go out with our guns blazing. Piss on taking someone else` chicken **** and trying to make chicken salad.

Andre Wadley, Chaz Ramsey, and Philip Pierre-Louis, who broke his leg on the season opening kickoff for Auburn.

I think Porter, Memphis's new coach, is going to actually try to recruit players for a change. West, in his later years, had given up on really trying to recruit. Instead, he decided he'd just watch the police blotter and wait until the SEC teams kicked a good player to the curb, so he could sweep in and try to pick up the table scraps and build a team out of misfits.

I think Patterson is more likely to end up at USM honestly.

Read the posts above mine, which I though were funny. So I said: 1) This thread is hysterical. 2) When was he kicked off the team?

Seemed pretty innocuous but then again I could see how one might read it differently I suppose.

get his *** ininterdisciplinarystudies and get him a number 11 jersey. If he screws up here we just kick his *** off the team. Nothing to lose to me.<div>
</div><div>Did it ever come out what Tig Barksdale's medical issues were that he had to leave school to address?</div>

Don't toy with State, only to sign with someone else. Your big-time career could be cut short*. Watch out, Chris Garrett.

*Josh McNeil being the lone exception I could think of in the past 10 years. I'm sure there are many others, however.
