Since Schoonerman didn't name my latest FZ song yet, here is a hint: some would say the name of the song could be compared with an Italian cookie...

More FZ fun:

She was a debutante daisy
With a color-note organ
Deep in the street
She drove a '59 morgan

chorus (and then)

She didn't like it when her fan belt
Shrunk and got shorter
(ointment)
Battery leak could nearly cost her a quarter

Schoonerman jump on in here and enlighten the masses...

Took me a minute, but the "ointment" reference cleaned out some of the cob webs. Zappa is the artis and Florentine Pogen is the song. Great pick!!!

Here's my entry from my all-time favorite artist. An oldie but a damned good one:

__ __ you scare me so
I feel as though, my heart stopped dead
You're a liar, this I know
I watch you go, around my head

Ooohhh, I'm going down slow
Scare me so
Ooohh, you never let go
Scare me so

Gay desceiver, my eyes they burn
My insides burn, my brain is cold

Unbeliever, but now I've learned
I took my turn and come up cold

Ooohhh, I'm going down slow
Scare me so
Ooohh, you never let go
Scare me so

If you must kill me,
Please let me die Lord!

My sister won a thousand dollars in a Dallas radio station call in contest in about 1974, correctly identifying the song with these lyrics.

The message may not move me, or mean a great deal to me,
But hey, it feels so groovy to say.

When you've got money
You've got lots of friends
Poundin' on your door

When the money's gone
And all the spendin' ends
They won't be 'round anymore.

Correct. Unfortunately, you win $1000 less than my sister did. Of course, by the time the Uncle Sam took his cut, she made less than $700. ... . if that makes you feel any better.

Most excellent cartoon K2! I've seen that one before in newspapers and perfect addition to this thread. I would be an old fart in there yelling FLOYD or BEATLES/STONES...

WHAT!

15 years of careful, assiduous image building rent asunder by the utterance of the jawbone of an ***...tragic. :)

Here is an old favorite, in honor of sybarite:

Lunatic Fringe
I know you're out there
You're in hiding
And you hold your meetings
I can hear you comin'
I know what your after
We're wise to you this time
(Wise to you this time)
We won't let you kill the laughter
Uh huh
Uh huh
Uh huh
Lunatic fringe
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
Cause you gotta blame someone
For your own confusion
We're on guard this time
(On guard this time)
Against your final solution
Oh no
Uh huh
Uh huh
Uh huh
We can hear you comin'
(We can hear you comin')
No, you're not gonna win this time
(Not gonna win)
We can hear the footsteps
(We can hear the footsteps)
Way out along the walkway
(Out along the walkway)
Lunatic fringe
We all know you're out there
Can you feel the resistance

OK Nota
Here's an easy one for ya:

Satisfied but lost in love
Situations change
You're never who you used to think you are
How strange

While you're pondering the Clapton tune, a little more Zappa from a later album:

Now I'm older
Got a place in the town, babe

or

They live in a ho-ho-hole
(tiny hole)
That is usually empty
(usually empty, tiny too)
They live by a code
(dit dit dit dit)
That is usually smpte
Which stands for
Society of motion picture & television engineers
Maybe I think
That is what keeps them in sync
They're wet n they're pink
I think I'll give em a, give em a,
Give em a drink

This is medium difficulty I believe.

Some of the coolest lyrics in this song whatever was.

"And the baby looks around him
and shares his bed of hay,
with the burrow in the
palace of the king"

Frickin' awesome...GO!
