Maybe the university in conjunction with President Dan Jones could grant him immunity in exchange for him cooperating to patrol the VH sidelines and the Grove while firing a cannon loaded with red and blue panties into the crowds. Plus, it would be a lot more fun to watch that take place versus that debacle they call their football team.</p>
Otis Campbell is the fictional "town drunk" in Mayberry on the American TV sitcom The Andy Griffith Show. Otis was played by Hal Smith and made frequent appearances on the show from 1960 to 1967, and stopped appearing in the show towards the end of the series due to concerns by the show's sponsors over the portrayal of excessive drinking.</p>

Otis Campbell is being saved for the name of my next pet. I already have Barney (my cat) and Aunt Bee (my dog). When they pass on (Aunt Bee is currently 16), my next pets will be Otis Campbell, Briscoe, Ernest T., orGomer if male. Thelma Lou or Charlene if female. There will be no Helen Crump in my house (*****). I could never have a pet that had the same name as the Ole Miss mascot.
