It was a great game...both teams battled hard...unfortunately pooch kickoffs have always been kryptonite for Central over the years...The Redhawks offense did some good things...and at times was in disarray..the muffed Central snap for nearly a 20 yard loss was big....The playoffs start for Central (2-4) next week @ Waubonsie...a place that's been a house of horrors the past few seasons...and DeKalb...is no pushover as they dismantled WV last night...then there's East St Louis @ Central in week 9....For the Wildcats...just win out and get a good seed...2 games with Metea with a trip to Naperville North sandwiched in between should accomplish that...

Thanks for the insight.

As I opined earlier in the week, these NV/NC games are always hard hitting sledgehammer games that are usually decided by coaching, penalties, and turnovers.

I haven’t seen North play but it seems like they are playing a bit better. Metea the same I guess. 8-1 should get us a decent seed.

If the Redhawks were playing the schedule from the early 2000's, they would probably go 6-3 or 7-2. But this murderous schedule is beyond brutal.

Nothing is changing next season...same schedule in reverse order of sites...

What do you think the DVC should do to expand? I know the Oswego’s aren’t interested and neither are the Plainfield’s. Bolingbrook isn’t leaving their conference. There seems to be a dearth if teams willing to join. I really like the addition of Dekalb, however.

I guess we have to wait and see about this district stuff...I saw the projected Districts a few months...it seems WV & NV would be in a different District away from Central and North...which Metea would be with....I'm not a happy camper if this comes to fruition...The Oswegos and Bolingbrook would be with the 204 schools...I guess we'll find out....If the Districts plan fails...I'm not sure what to do with the DVC...and yes, DeKalb has been a nice addition...as you may remember Waubonsie and Neuqua (in it's infancy days) were all members of the Upstate Eight. DeKalb was much smaller and not doing well...playing at cavernous Huskie Stadium @ NIU...Now they've grown and the program has gotten better....

I keep forgetting about the districts. I hope they shoot that down.
