Maybe waiting on Alabama? Or maybe he just likes Lafayette and will stay like Beamer did at Va Tech. There aren't all that many coaching jobs higher up the scale than Auburn.

Maybe Napier has a little David Cutcliffe in him, just wants to coach football and not go to Daddy Warbucks grandson's birthday party because grandpa gives big bucks to the AD, or go play golf with some schmuck because he owns the Cadillac dealership in East Bum17 Alabama and provides the rides to the program.

I actually graduated from USL, now UL-L, and the talent is deep. There is also an abundance of football talent in the area, great food and great fishing and hunting.
