Why does everybody on here seem to think he's a guaranteed slam dunk of a coach? Coaching hires are always a toss up. Seems like some of y'all will just jump ship on State and start wearing bow ties in the grove if he moves to Oxford.

Napier might be a good or even great SEC coach one day, but if that's the coach we would have hired had we fired Moorhead, I think from a risk-reward standpoint keeping Moorhead was the right move.

To me, a successful G5 HC is a lot more of a sure thing than a P5 coordinator. If a guy has never been an FBS HC before, you really have no idea what you actually have because they have never run their own program before.
