Yeah, I think it would be really hard to sway Rogers, but I do think it's at least possible. We were in his final 3 and were basically in Nance's final 2. Nance is clearly looking now and had been looking at Tennessee, but I assume that's over. Vandy took another QB after they told him they wouldn't, so we would definitely have a shot at him, and if we could sway him, our chances with Rogers might be decent. He didn't hesitate early on to say he would like to play with Nance at the next level, and I think that's the main reason we were in on him at all. If Nance switched, I think Rogers would do some thinking. It would still be tough, but if anybody could pull him, it would be Nance. Regardless, this is definitely some interesting news.
Just found out that Rogers had indeed set up a visit to Tennessee after Nance did, so it's clear that a) both are at least listening to other schools and b) Nance has a serious influence on Rogers. Honestly, if I were Mullen and could find out that they were definitely a package deal and we could get both, I would tell Brunetti not to bother and bring both in immediately. Not even a question about it.
