are you on glue? you strike me as someone who would blow up a AT&T store to own the trumpsters...wait a minute.
As someone who enjoys reading conspiracy theories to delve into the human psyche, I can say the 5G/Spying/Covid conspiracy isn’t partisan or only synonymous to the Q crowd. I’ve read post after post where people on both sides of the aisle have labeled 5G the boogeyman and made crazy claims.

As a society, we do a really ****** job of identifying and getting people help. I always think about that dude who shot up the Waffle House in Nashville. He had more red flags than a Russian military parade, but his family and the police just kept giving him a pass.

Another one is a guy I worked with for many years, and went fishing with from time to time. He came to our retiree picnic one year, and was off the rails in that he was formerly a slow talking, laid back guy, but that day he was like a different person. He rambled on frantically, spouting stuff about the Bible and talking in a voice that sounded nothing like him. We all of laughed it off. A month later, he was in the newspaper when he was arrested for aggravated stalking. It turned out that he was arrested earlier that year for stalking, and was forced to undergo counseling. Two months after he was at the picnic, he got into an argument with his neighbor. The neighbor called the cops. He was waiting on the cops to get there, and when they did, he greeted them with 3 shells of 00 buckshot and then barricaded himself in his house before shooting and killing himself a couple of hours later. One of the cops was seriously injured and had to undergo 3 surgeries, nearly losing his leg and was laid up for awhile.
That's insane. Pale though compared to this thread.

I heard a comedian talk about conspiracy theories and he nailed it. Conspiracy theories are fun. People enjoy them, they make them feel connected, smarter, and special. Well, that's where they are just like meth. That first time is wonderful, but you can't just jump in a little bit and keep that level. With meth you start saying you'll just do it on weekends with friends but end up servicing truckers and stealing copper to get through the day. With conspiracy theories you start thinking about alternative theories about JFK and next you're describing the blood rituals done in a satanic pizza place basement.

I advise you to google “operation mockingbird” and who invented the term “conspiracy theory”

Controlling the media and using it as a tool of war works short term quite effectively, but a better comparison than Meth is Frankenstein. You lose control of it and it swings around and turns on its creator. You can't long subject people to radicalization through propaganda because it's too hard to sustain. You see that to some degree in the Republican Party right now. They are running out of people to kick out of their conspiracies. The whiplash from Fox News, Bill Barr, and others that have swung in and out of favor has been head spinning. You just can't sustain that. They are going to consume the right wing news that created them and spin off into their own virulent strain completely outside the original intention.

A friend of mine is a BIG 9/11 conspiracy theorist. He's a Georgia Tech grad and actually is a "helluva engineer" and is an otherwise reasonable man, except for that.

12 years service and SF NCO? Sounds like the guy snapped for no reason. Wow, seems crazy.

It'll be interesting to see what the background story is and if there were any signs of mental issues, because it looks like he killed these people for no apparent reason.

My introduction to conspiracy theorists came early. A neighbor friend was exceptionally well read and a devout mormon. I was impressed that he could build and operate shortwave radios. Turned out it was to keep in touch with various militia groups that were convinced that the U.N., bildibergers, and illuminati were going to team with the Reagan or Bush administrations to wipe out US civilians. He was 100% in for 20+ years and one day he just dropped it all. Another family friend who was nearly as deep in was a devout Jehovah's witness. Needless to say both denominations creeped me out for a long time.

Conspiracy theories are like anything else that’s been politicized in our culture. There are crazy theories on both sides - but people think the crazy stuff on their side makes sense, it’s the nutbags on the other side that are lunatics.

There are a lot of people out there with their cart ready to tip over. It's just a matter if they want to take others with them, want to be "famous" or whatever motive, like this guy who killed 3 and wounded others in Illinois a few days ago. WTF?

Man he’s fallen

Epic fail by law enforcement, just like when the Nashville PD failed when they found a car that had been stolen from a Nashville BMW dealership in an apartment complex parking lot, but declined to put any effort into who might have stolen it. The dude that stole it walked into a Waffle House a few days later and shot it up, killing several.

I suppose there may be some jobs where minimal effort is acceptable, but law enforcement isn't one of them.

The 5G conspiracy theory actually started with whacko environmentalists and has now seeped it's way into some of the craziest COVID conspiracy theories. It really isn't connected to Q but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the whacko Q people take the current 5G conspiracy theories and spin them into some other type of government conspiracy ********.

Bottom line, whether political or not, the crazy conspiracy theories running around the internet right now are dangerous.

It's worth the 1.5 hours to watch the "social dilemma" to learn how social media companies learn to prey on your "interests" and help you go down crazy *** "rabbit holes" and end up radicalized.

The girlfriend should have just said he was using the RV to grow weed instead of bombs. I’m sure the police would have decided they had PC as opposed to no PC.
Building a bomb is a serious public danger so she should have said that he was a black woman at home who knew a guy that may have sold weed. That way they'd go in blazing.

FBI says they were never contacted about him. That's one helluva tip for the PD to ignore.

I wouldn’t rely on the Daily Mail. It’s essentially the British equivalent of the New York Post... one step above the National Enquirer and the rest of the tabloid rags you see in the Kroger checkout lane.

I don’t see anything reliable (especially local Nashville news) reporting the audio was an evacuation notice. That very well could be the case, but nobody else is saying it.
Daily Mail / New York Post >>>>>>> NYT/WaPo etc.

A lot of my friends live in and around London, and regardless of age, sex, religion, political affiliation, or anything else, they all have one thing in common: they every one absolutely despise The Daily Mail. I think the final straw was when it reported that Melania Trump was a prostitute. [roll]

Trump has an affinity for the porn actress so that's a more accurate description. :p
