I know we have 15 scholarships next season, I just think it will be hard to fill all those unless we take a flyer on an under the radar HS player

Jasper, Lewis, Moreno, 3 Ky boys, Oweh, and garrisson. Potential for Almanor back. With that group I say you need a PG, wing scorer, another big, and another shooter
Wilson was going to UNC with or without NIL. We did not get outbid and I don't think we would have gotten Wilson to come here or anywhere besides Duke regardless of Money offered. Most kids don't go to highest bidder that are high school recruits. Portal kids are a different breed, most of the portal kids are money hounds. Every time a kids chooses some school besides us does not mean they were bought. Do you actually think that every kid that chooses us is because we offered a bigger bag of money?

U of L is collecting a huge amount of NIL and Ament is their #1 priority ( at least from those contributing to NIL). If Ament goes to the highest bidder, don’t be surprised if it’s not U of L.
You can't be serious about competing for a title with Lewis and Kriisa as your PG's 1-2.
We need a replacement or even a slight upgrade from Butler with Lewis backing him up.
Would love to have Kerr this year but he is really a combo.

Truth is players like Garrison, Perry, and Chandler haven't performed well enough to have a " I got next" mentality.
I would say those guys spots could be on the line for possible portal upgrades.

No. He is a very gifted offensive player. But he would need a physical player to pair with him

Ament cancelled his last scheduled visit to Kansas State after watching Duke beating UNC. I don’t think he even has a visit scheduled for Kentucky.
Last time I saw him at Highlands was wearing Duke shorts. I would be very surprised if he doesn’t go to Durham.
He's good but isn't physically ready for a D1 college season. Even if we land Ament we'll need to hit the portal hard for another F and PF.
We need a top quality combo guard, a SF, and a PF with skills and some bulk. I wouldn’t even mind a top flight center or someone as good as Garrison in case Moreno isn’t ready physically yet.
absolutely DONT drop a bag for him. The SEC will rough him up and we dont know how he will respond to it. We will know if a portal player has a history of playing COLLEGE games and plays through contact and can win.

UNC promised him time and being the main guy on the team. thats why he wanted to play there over us that didnt promise him anything.
Pope isnt starting a PG unless its like Crowe or someone special that talent makes up for no experience with the system. Lewis will be the PG as a soph I think , backup as a freshman.

I'm sure he's good just not Wall, Knight, Fox good which is what we would need from a freshman.
Jasper is a scorer and 3pt shooter.
I don't think Pope would have recruited Lewis if he planned on Jasper being his PG.
Oweh's skill set is best suited for the 3 in college.
Jasper could be, he has about 6 ast average in ote. Definitely pg not sg in ote.
When lewis and Jasper play together, Lewis plays pg, when jasper on and lewis off, Jasper is pg.
Jasper definitely has combo ability but Otega is never going to be a flamethrower from deep.
We're quicker with OO at the three and hopefully we get a PG out of the portal who has some speed.
Gotta get some talent man, don’t have to get 4 or 5 five stars but one wouldn’t hurt. Having a team full of 4 and 5 year transfers who aren’t good enough to make it at the next level isn’t going to be good enough
Actually I agree the the part about the fans and their behavior. I've been around this board for 20 years or so.... I don't post a lot as I'm sure will be pointed out but when I read some of the posts on this board you really can't blame a recruit for not wanting to be apart of the madness. I can say this because I live in eastern Ky and as a teacher a lot of the post look as if they are coming from a middle school kid whose teacher is allowing them to play on their phones during class. This board is rather entertaining but could use a lot more class especially when talking about a college kid.
