Down 29-19, 40 seconds left, ball on the 31 yd line. He goes ahead and kicks the FG so he can kick the onside kick and get the ball back.

That's just great coaching. They ended up missing the FG but it's thinking ahead.

Yeah, but that's not the right way. You're supposed to waste a TO, provided you haven't wasted them at that point and then look around with a blank stare and your mouth open.

Then you punt.

We were sitting around talking about it, and I said kick the FG on first down. At least he tried it. Couldn't WF have run the clock out by kneeling on the ball instead of scoring? I'm sure they were happier with the TD, but that did leave room for an unlikely comeback.
