SHG's two fumbles in the 2nd were unforced fumbles by the QB. QB seemed hesitant in the late 2nd and ate several sacks as well. Naz defense has been strong though, often putting Cyclones 3rd and forever. SHG running to the outside might be negative yards. Inside rushing for cycs was positive, but not consistent. Naz and SHG passing has been inconsistent, each missing some good opportunities. Naz rushing has been the difference with SHG contain nowhere to be found.Still, SHG defense has been making the best of very short fields, and is a big reason why Cyclones only down 13 at the half.

Disappointing end to the season for SHG, unable to overcome a truly awful first half. This is the first time in a very long time SHG has finished with 3 losses.

Naz has a penalty problem to cleanup for next week. Good luck!

I’ll have a full report when I get home, what a great game. I’m so glad I made the trip, the SHG people are class acts, the venue is unbelievable! Both teams played very hard and both well and terrible at times. My one quick thought is that was by far worst officiating crew I’ve ever seen, this is a problem that needs fixed in IHSA football.

Both teams played hard and it’s unfortunate the IHSA allows officiating to that level to occur. Bad overall against both teams. This crew should lose any further games in postseason play!! The crap at the end took the cake, they did all they could to stop a first down on Naz’ last possession- ultimately succeeding.
Penalties Naz 19 SHG 4 are the unofficial numbers I’m hearing

Consolation for SHG: They will not be punishment adjusted to 7A next year, unless the IHSA decides to further F*** a bunch of 15-17 year old kids. Shameful!!!
