Yep winner plays 7A for 2 years. Why punish kids for success of kids that are seniors in college.

Godfthr53 did you happen to tune to this 1450 on your way out of town? I did and let me tell ya...kids from SHG were first class in interviews. But past that- the “Naz is full of talking city kids” narrative being forced on the listeners by the host was ridiculous.
I might be wrong here but I thought SHG was already in punishment mode for having won 5A in 13 and 14. Again I could be wrong but that is why they were playing in 6A. Since they played in the championship game last year they will have to miss the championship game next year to get bumped back down to 5A.
There has got to be an expert on here that can clarify for everyone.
I also believe Montini will be back in 5A as they have not made the championship game two years in a row.

All.... I don't like that word. I will tell you I received an e-mail last week by someone in the know who follows Danville sports. He told me to beware of unsportsman like behavior from Roadrunner players. He cited a couple of things, one being the kicking of players in the helmet when down on the ground. I didn't really know how to take that quite honestly. Figured the guy was just hopping mad over Danville losing. Check the below video out from yesterdays game after Matt Brennheisen for SHG scores a td and is down on the ground. There is no excuse for this on the football field. Ratsy

All.... I e-mailed Matt Troha with the IHSA a few weeks back. My question for him was should SHG not make it to the final this year in Dekalb what class will they play in should they make the postseason next season. 6A was his response. Ratsy
Moving on...good luck to the program and as stated before by others great complex! I will say the kids are class acts...my son had multiple players including Redd, Adams stop us in parking lot to congratulate him and wish the best!
If you don’t think there was chippy play and questionable antics on both sides than you’re as big of a homer as I thought. I’m not a Naz fan but did cheer for them, that said I saw two teams playing their asses off and approaching the line a few times. A certain kid who I won’t name jawed more than anyone I’ve seen. Anytime there was any squirmish he was right in the middle of it and anytime a Naz player went to the ground he was knocking the ball out of their hands just to be a dick. At the end of the game he hugged and embraced the same Naz players he was “fighting” with all game. The boys left it all out on the field and moved on, time for some parents/fans to do the same instead of making excuses and leading a witch hunt.
All.... Yap all you want about me. I received the e-mail and Brennheisen was kicked in the head. You can disagree all you want that it was unintentional. Couldn't care less. Take a couple of aspirin and you will feel better in the morning. Have to run, going to a party of fans that get together at the end of the season. Ta ta.... Ratsy

Watched the video and I have to say, perhaps not kosher, but not egregious(thug like) either. On a different note please explain to me how the SHG team got off two plays with 8.6 ticks on the clock when a pass was completed in the middle of the field there were no timeouts; and then they spiked the ball to get off the final play. As good as college and pro teams are at these types of series, they couldn't complete that feat without some serious help from the refs, I won't even question some of the other calls and non-calls that occurred in this game.
I generally enjoy your posts but this time I think you're a bit heated from yesterday's outcome. I also think that SHG continuing to be on the Success punishment list is crazy.

perhaps at the party you will run into to the classy mom who called a "thug" player who could play in the IVY league (along with other NAZ kids currently playing in the IVY league) a piece of S>>> as the young man left the field. You may also run into the player who posted real classy comments on the NAZ website last week. And I guess while you are there maybe you can get the NAZ offensive card that was dropped on the field during the game and retrieved,not returned if you get my drift.
Took the words right out of my mouth. I witnessed some SHG fans (adults) screaming obscenities at Naz players after the game. The players response was priceless “you’re and adult and you’re talking to a kid that way!”
I also have visual proof of the HC and DC at SHG holding Naz’s playcards during the game. Grabbed by a player, given to the HC who pocketed them and gave them to the DC later on. The DC then had them out the rest of the game. I have multiple pictures and video showing it as we noticed it and went to SHG stands to prove it.
I guess if you live in glass houses you really shouldn’t throw stones.
Lol what a pointless post. I was at the game and me and another Naz fan watched cards come out of a Naz players wristband. We then observe and SHG kid grab those cards and not give them to the Naz player, instead he ran them over to his head coach. We went over to see what he’d do with them. They didn’t return them or throw them away. They were in DC’s hands with his call sheet for the remainder of the game. You are correct though I guess I had too much time on my hands in Springfield where I’d be watching the remainder of the game regardless.
I’m incapable of posting pictures and I have to “prove” nothing to you. The right people at Naz have those pictures. It’s up to them if they chose to move forward with it.
Yeah I want to know how to do that as well (if it’s even possible). So far the only thing I have been able to post is images/vids/memes that the content is on the web. Anything on my computer or phone I have not been Able to post.

No idea what that means. I did get a text with what sounds like a different picture than what the Irishman is talking about. Same general premise but taking by someone else. Naz knew about this during the game.

All..... Not heated at all, really! I as well as many Cyclone faithful new they were underdogs in this game. With an enrollment of 643 (I'm told it's actually less) and said to be dropping again class 6A postseason play was a challenge albeit a fun one. Everyone is unhappy with refs. I believe that crew was out of the Metro East. Note though that in the playoffs ALL schools have no say in assignments of those crews. You get what the IHSA sends like it or not. Ratsy
