He’s made some incredible throws. I have not see a quarterback like this at this level in Illinois.TD, JJ perfect throw
And that wasn’t even his best throw of the game.Really was a ridiculous throw

Bad turnovers by ND. ND defense looking good. JJ best hs player I've seen in a long time. Ever?
Agree. Outside of one play, NND offense could do nothing.Incredibly impressed by ND defense. Naz d-line reminds me of LWE from 2 years ago with power up the middle and speed and strength on the edge.
Ball looks amazing coming out of JJ’s hand.
Hurts not having best offensive player, but don’t think it would have changed outcome. ND offensive line just couldn’t handle rush to effectively run their offense. Sayles did great avoiding rush, and a less athletic QB would have taken double digit sacks. I doubted all season that ND could compete with 8A teams, but the defense changed my mind. Disregard the last long TD run as they pinched to stop the clock, this D gave up 7 pts to an elite offense.Agree. Outside of one play, NND offense could do nothing.
I watched on ND Media on YouTube(which does an amazing job), but when you say front 7, it seemed more like a back seven. Their LB’s played back, but move sideline to sideline very well. That D-Line didn’t need blitzes other than weak side backer every now and then. I don’t think Naz sent 6 all game.Congratulations to the Roadrunners. Naz is a very talented team. Loads of weapons on offense. JJ McCarthy is the real deal. That’s the first time I’ve seen him play in person. He was putting the ball where it had to be. Naz receivers dropped some balls but it didn’t hurt them. He’s got some giddy up on his fastball. He’s everything I heard he was.
Defensively, I was extremely impressed by the front seven. They have great size and speed and played very aggressively. If not for Anthony Sayles elusiveness that game could have gotten ugly. The Naz secondary was never really tested but again very fast and athletic. Naz seems to be rolling at the right time of the year.
Dons defense did a nice job but the offense couldn’t get anything going. Hopefully we get Julian Shurr back for the playoffs. No shame in today’s loss. Go Dons!! Beat Mustangs!!
Was it just me or is the Naz OL not very good in pass pro?Congratulations to the Roadrunners. Naz is a very talented team. Loads of weapons on offense. JJ McCarthy is the real deal. Not just you. I watched on YouTube and know nothing about their height and weights, but they seem more like a run scheme, smaller o-line.Was it just me or is the Naz OL not very good in pass pro?
ND front seven played very well. I’d give the edge to ND in that matchup tonight. They did some good things up front but overall ND won that battle. Was it just me or is the Naz OL not very good in pass pro?
It just seemed like JJ had to sling it every play. Naz OL in past years were outstanding.ND front seven played very well. I’d give the edge to ND in that matchup tonight. They did some good things up front but overall ND won that battle.
87 50 28 89 those guys were getting after it. ND’s big guard didn’t play in the second half. Schurr would have helped widening and compressing the Naz defense, but overall I am not sure if it would have made a huge difference...or maybe it would if he breaks a play.
Really love seeing that much heart from ND’s defense!
Again I think you have to give some credit to the ND line and linebackers. It just seemed like JJ had to sling it every play. Naz OL in past years were outstanding.
I have no intention to demean or speak badly about ND’s o-line because I think they handled Montini’s (4) 6foot 2inch 240 to 270 lb down lineman, I just believe come playoff time, they will be in trouble when dealing with Division 1 D-lineman.87 50 28 89 those guys were getting after it. The most credit should go to secondary. They closed on great passes, and at least 10 passes were on WR hands and DBs and Safety got a hand on the ballAgain I think you have to give some credit to the ND line and linebackers.
I think Providence has some decent linemen too. I didn’t see the game. I saw today’s game and they had big problems up front. I will say this, Coach Prossel is the O line coach and does a good job. I think he’ll do what he can to have them ready. I agree. I was responding to the question about the Naz line. I thought the secondary played well against a very talented group of Naz receivers. Heck the TD pass by JJ looked like great coverage. It was just a better pass and catch. The most credit should go to secondary. They closed on great passes, and at least 10 passes were on WR hands and DBs and Safety got a hand on the ball
Absolutely! I’m sure that Michigan team had good defensive lineman, as much as Provi and Montini. My point is the ND O-Line is a group of hard nosed kids that play with a ton of heart, but might have trouble with elite d-linemanI think Providence has some decent linemen too. I hope you’re wrong. I enjoyed last years run and hoping for another one this year. I understand 8A is a different animal but I’m looking forward to seeing it go down.Absolutely! I don’t have skin in the game. I’m a Maine South guy, but brother in law was ND hoops and football star, but other brother in law was Loyola football player and we keep saying 8A playoffs are much different than 6A. Defense tonight made me believe they can hang in any 8A game.I hope you’re wrong. I enjoyed last years run and hoping for another one this year.
