Big win by the young Runners. Huge game by Soph Devin Blakley.

Team needs to still improve for them to make any noise in the playoffs.

Quality win on the road.

Does the ND loss to MCC jeopardize the Naz playoff hopes (not enough playoff points at 5-4)?

I think Nazareth's demise was greatly exaggerated as well.
All the talent in the world, just so young. Hard to watch because of the inexperience. Yet also cool to watch kids my wife taught last year in junior high school playing on varsity...

that's a question for the prognosticators. I was under the impression they make it. LOL I'm pissed if I'm wrong.

That kid is the next Naz superstar. Love the move to RB, to help get him involved in an offense that's struggling.

Based on yesterday's results Naz sits at 34 points with a week to go. They should win next week but they need to get their points near 38-39 to get in.

Naz will sit at 37 points if everything doesn't go their way next week.

Soucie originally had 5 DVC teams in the playoffs - but now it looks like there will be only 4 since NC was eliminated last nite and only the winner of WV/WN will get in.

Going from 5 to 4 DVC teams should lower the threshold of playoff points needed and open a playoff slot for a 5-4 team in the 256 team field.

* NV
* NN
* GBN
* Winner of WV/WN

despite several blunders on personnel not being ready and poor clock management. Oh and lets not forget penalties, penalties, penalties. It all must get better in order to compete the remainder of this year and next year. And thats the truth ! Love Blakely, great young man ! also Marcus Griffin (freshman) pounded the rock

Penalties will kill you--coaching staff deserves some credit- Offensive Changes made, stones to go for the win and the defensive backfield was obviously coached up this week (minus the jumping of the slant late in the 4th?)

I have heard of Naz parents/fans being highly critical this season, I guess it's making its way here? Will we have a 3 page thread like the Provi thread?

In my opinion and it is just an opinion, Naz gave away 3 games this year. Could come back to hurt them if they miss the playoffs.

Cannot keep all the heli-parents happy. We've lost some as a result, such is life. IDK what they expect from a team with such youth.

Luckily, seems like they'll be in a decent spot with playoff points. First things first though, gotta take care if business week 9.

There is not a chance Naz loses to Marian Catholic.

The game is funny.
The ball is shaped funny - it takes strange bounces sometimes
Kids are 14 to 18 - they do funny things sometimes
Turnovers can kill (just ask Waubonsie)

You just never know... better to cross fingers, throw salt over your shoulder - take a swig of your favorite beverage pregame and hope for the best in the stands.....

Please don't put the cart before the horse. This team is so young they can't afford to look past anyone and worry about Saturday. Anyone know status of the kids that missed last week?

IDK who even missed. The announcers were naming people I thought were out.

I watched this game on the cube. was wondering if #9 on naz was Austin reifsteck (linebacker) because the announcer called him "Mercado" or something a few times. and...I thought he wore #18 and maybe switched his number to honor a teammate who was out?

side note: reifsteck grew up in sterling and moved the summer after 5th grade. nice kid...I had the pleasure of coaching him in youth baseball and basketball.
