As one of the 3 people on here that cares about the NBA, it looks like the Finals are going back to the 2-2-1-1-1 format instead of the 2-3-2.

The technical answer is travel. It's tough to go LA to Boston 3 times in 7 days, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal.

It was for the media's benefit more than the teams'. Just so much media who have to be "on the scene." Hard to move all of that back and forth so many times.

It made it almost worth it to be the #2 team. Glad it's going back to the fair way of doing things.

So glad they changed it right in time for my Pelicans to take advantage of it.***
