I don't follow the NBA that closely so I'm not as familiar with the rules but why didn't somebody come in and shoot the free throws for Miller after the Rondo foul? I've seen substitutions at the free throw line in college for MUCH lesser injuries in order to take advantage of the situation and get a better shooter in there. Miller may be a good free throw shooter, I don't know, but his mouth was bleeding and packed with gauze. Tough conditions to concentrate at the line.

I think the rule is that if someone had come in to shoot for him, he was done for the night. Plus, the other coach gets to pick the shooter.

Do they still use the 3-second rule in the NBA. About a month ago when I was on the treadmill at the gym I saw a Bulls player stay in the lane for at least 8 seconds and nothing was called. I didn't have the audio so I have no idea what the announcers said, but it was all I could do to keep from shouting, "What the 17!"
