I wonder which will have longer NBA career Reeves or Brea. The are both sniffing the NBA because they shoot the three. Brea maybe a tad better shooter. Reeves has a better handle and can drive. Both not the greatest on D. I'm wishing them both well and want to see them make it.

Brea has 15 points, 6 rebounds and a couple of threes so far today. Reed 14 points, 4 steals.

I‘m always amused by fans that get hyped up with former UK players, that light it up in meaningless summer league games. I appreciate the enthusiasm I suppose, but, none of it means anything.

I’m all about Kentucky basketball winning now. Not about players like Reed, Livingston, etc, that won zilch why playing here.

Reed wearing an Arkansas jersey, was the end of his legacy here. He won nothing. And was just awful against mighty Oakland.

i do love Brea and Williams.

I hope all of our guys are successful after they leave here. However, some, are much more likable, than others.

It has little to do with hyping players up. It is a dead period in the summer, what else is there to discuss? Not every fan has to stop supporting our guys just because they take the Kentucky jersey off.

His 2nd game bot as good. But then again, the rest of his team couldn't shoot for ****.

It really is a bad summer league team for Houston, which is kind of a drastic change from a once very good summer league team.

I thought Reed played horrible yesterday. Had about 7 turnovers, Jenks intimidated him. Like took his lunch money bad. I noticed during a couple of timeouts it showed Reed talking to officials whining about being fouled. He said himself he needs to get stronger, more physical. Teams are going to press up on him and make him play physical. he had to answer the challenge.

You can’t really gather anything from the summer league.

Most of these guys will never play in the NBA.

Brea has a chance only because shooting is a premium in today’s NBA.

And he can shoot!!🏀👍

His problem is he does nothing else at an NBA level.

My guess is he doesn’t make a roster.

There’s no guessing on the rest.
My guess is, he DOES make not A roster, but the Suns roster. They traded up and gave an extra pick to move up and draft him, Don't think they would go thru all of that trouble and throw away a pick only to cut him after summer league. Name your wager, I am down.

I wouldn't bet against him. I hope he makes it.

But he has no other NBA skill except shooting. That might be enough in today's NBA with shooting at a premium?

But he was in college for 5 years at this height and the shooting skill. There's a reason for that. Right now he's playing against guys that won't be on rosters either.

Just look at Oscar. he wore these dudes out in summer league and he can't find meaningful minutes in the show.

I hope they all make a team. There's a difference in a pipe dream and reality though.

I still need to watch that game. But regardless of how bad he played, the entire rest of his team played worse.. and that goes for both games so far.

Reed isnt going to turn into a 16/5/5 player in the NBA overnight.. but hes gonna go from a summer league team where hes far and away the best player.. to a Houston team where hes maybe going to be 7th or 8th, at the absolute best.

I thought his athleticism/speed/strength were more or less fine. He blew past some defenders, made 3s with guys in his face. Will that get harder in the NBA? Sure. But hes also not drawing the hardest assignment in the NBA either.. Amen, KD, Sengun, and Jabari will.

Yeah I hear you, and agree. But for some reason yesterday, he seemed to struggle more with physical play and someone up in his grill not letting him get space.

Toppin doing well.

“Jacob Toppin could be a steal in Atlanta

Another Wildcat from the past making a summer league splash is Jacob Toppin, one of the stars of the Atlanta Hawks in Vegas. Toppin’s final game of the 2024-25 regular season was a 17-point night for Atlanta in April, and he followed that game up with three strong summer league performances. He’s averaging 15.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, shooting 40 percent from 3 in three victories. Toppin may be earning his way into a playing role with the Hawks from a two-way deal.” - On3
