NBA tips tonight. Are we all agreed the Heat will 3-peat?

Not that I hope it happens, but barring significant injuries does anyone realistically see how it can't? And the Grizz are on Sportsouth tomorrow in San Antonio. Let the Dave Joerger era begin.

Yeah it's the Heats to lose again.

As far as the Grizz go, first few games might still be a little rough. They are still working out the kinks in the new offense. I'm going Friday night to the home opener.

Somehow I think Wade's declining skills will catch up with the Heat this year. And I gotta think Michael Beasley is a subtraction by addition.

The Nets have a one year window they could contend. It will at least be fun watching, since there's a lot of hatred from Heat/Celtics carrying over.

But they have Gred Oden!**

Actually, it will be interesting to see what happens with him. Wade is definitely declining, but Lebron and Bosh can overcome that.

Unless James goes down, it's pretty muck a lock.

Not a Lock.

Favorite- Yes.
Lock-No.

If Ray Allen doesn't hit the miracle 3 in game 6 last year, the Spurs are being presented their rings tonight.

Speaking of the Spurs, is age ever going to catch up with those guys? I know they've added some pieces to the roster but can the big three there keep it up?

I think the West wins this year. D Rose and his Bulls and the Pacers will take too much out of the Heat for them to have enough left to win the Finals. I think a surprise team like the Clippers win.

The Heat will have to beat at least two of Chicago, Brooklyn & Indiana to get to the Finals again. That will be tough to do, especially if they have to face Indiana AND Chicago back-to-back.

If somehow the Heat have to face all three in the playoffs (unlikely but possible if they don't get the 1 seed and Brooklyn coasts to save their veterans and is a 6 or 7 seed), then that would be a ROUGH road to a three-peat.

The Heat have racked up a ton of playoff minutes over the last three years. That will hurt them. But will it hurt so much that they can't three-peat?

The Grizz are done. They will be a playoff team, but they can't hit jumpers. Mike Miller is not enough. It's a nice story, but they needed a JJ Redick type.

The local team (Pelicans!) will try to slip into the Western Conference playoffs as the 7th or 8th seed. I don't see them getting to 47 wins, and I think they will fall short. Next year will be a make-or-break year for Monte Williams.
