Yeah it's the Heats to lose again.
As far as the Grizz go, first few games might still be a little rough. They are still working out the kinks in the new offense. I'm going Friday night to the home opener.

Somehow I think Wade's declining skills will catch up with the Heat this year. And I gotta think Michael Beasley is a subtraction by addition.
The Nets have a one year window they could contend. It will at least be fun watching, since there's a lot of hatred from Heat/Celtics carrying over.

Speaking of the Spurs, is age ever going to catch up with those guys? I know they've added some pieces to the roster but can the big three there keep it up?
The Heat will have to beat at least two of Chicago, Brooklyn & Indiana to get to the Finals again. That will be tough to do, especially if they have to face Indiana AND Chicago back-to-back.
If somehow the Heat have to face all three in the playoffs (unlikely but possible if they don't get the 1 seed and Brooklyn coasts to save their veterans and is a 6 or 7 seed), then that would be a ROUGH road to a three-peat.

I keep thinking it has to at some point, but they keep proving me wrong. Duncan graduated from Wake in 1995.
The local team (Pelicans!) will try to slip into the Western Conference playoffs as the 7th or 8th seed. I don't see them getting to 47 wins, and I think they will fall short. Next year will be a make-or-break year for Monte Williams.
