thus, his draft status skyrocketed. i would say his offensive game was better than varnado's, plus he is more fluid running up and down the court (if that makes sense), whereas varnado lumbers when he runs and is more of a center, not a forward.
and as for stro, he was a freak athlete and was definitely better with the ball in his hands than varnado is. he also projected as an easier transition to a forward in the NBA, like thomas. those guys could actually run the court and put the ball on the floor when needed.
while varnado can run the court, he looks more like a center running the court. he needs to keep working on that 10-12 ft jumper and his post moves. if he can do that and add some pounds, i think he definitely has a shot as a power forward in the NBA.
