I’d say MC. Amazing use of the land they have, and awesome how they wrapped the stands around the field. The overhang of the press box is very cool also. Well done, MC.
Except in 2016 when their 30-year streak of making the playoffs was broken. Their overall record was 4-5, 0-4 in the Blue. And when was the last time they beat Maine South, Montini, and Loyola in the same year? Granted, at least two of those teams are having subpar seasons so far. But still.

The final kick in the nuts that year was when Lenti had MC taken out of the Blue. Sad year!

I have heard BR fills their home stands well when they have a competitive team. But I never remember them having much of a crowd at Gatley. I guess that's more of the norm today. Interesting to see what kind of a crowd they travel with this year. I see MC at 8-0 and BR 6-2 going into the final week.

If Rice can somehow win out, for sure. They could be surprised tonight and it would be no surprise to anyone if they lose to the Ramblers next week. Saturday afternoons in Wilmette are very tough for any visiting team.
Access to games has changed. Between MeTV, Comcast and the internet, it’s easy to watch from the comfort of your home. Seems like crowds are down everywhere.
I find it amusing that some guy who calls himself, "Stop Fake News" is relying on a newspaper.
Regardless, the shift to Green was a two year situation that all the schools would be forced to do. If one of the most successful high school football coaches of all time thought it was a good idea to get it over with, who am I to argue with him?
What advantage could Lenti have meant? Being able to get easier division wins? Zero Carmel guys I know were thrilled to be a member of the green division.

I'm relying on exact quotes, no fake news. And MC wasn't forced into Green, they were offered to stay in Blue, and then it says right there in the quote, Lenti "took advantage of the opportunity" to go into Green.
It was a sad and pathetic move! It all worked out in the end as we have an amazing new coach, renewed energy, a new stadium, and and overall new identity! MC football is more exciting now than it has been in a long time!!
Not sure what your definition of “long time” is but MC won back to back titles in ‘12 & ‘13 and made the semis in ‘14, ‘17 & ‘18. Those were exciting seasons. I am sure you’re a great supporter and the enthusiasm for MC is always great to see but MC football has been exciting for a long time. Coach Frank had a great run and did many amazing things for many people (including the new head coach). The new stadium looks amazing and the excitement from the fans and student section is awesome, the energy at the games is definitely more palpable. But let’s not act like the program hasn’t been exciting for the past 30+ years.
We all know Frank chickened out of the Blue. All good, it helped grease the skids for Jordan to enter. Well done all around.

Not at all, mad respect for Jordan and the program, just know Frank spit the bit at the worst possible time. MC did the right thing in ousting him and it shows even more right now.
