John Bond, Kenny Rogers, Bill Bell. All former Mississippi State players and to a certain extent involved in current MSU football.
What has me concerned is that despite the reports that our current coaches walked away when a $ figure was tossed out there, there continued to be activity with the above three individuals.
At this point we can only assume that the reason Cam is at Auburn is because Cecil got paid. No proof of that yet. I think MSU has played out as much of its testimony to this case as necessary. The NCAA won't get as much cooperation out of Auburn if they are guilty, so there is obviously the lull in reporting on the subject - up until the smokescreen 'reinstatement' effort yesterday. The only reason the NCAA did this was to at least lend a little credibility to the National Championship and Heisman for the time being. If either one of those are awarded with a cloud of suspicion hanging over them, then they take a hit. So this token act yesterday is a buy-us-some-time move to give the appearance that all is well. Silence some of the critical few media sources for the time being and everyone go about their happy way.
And if KR's role was to pair elite football players with programs, then why would he only focus on Mississippi State? Wouldn't he stand to get a payday if he brokered deals elsewhere? And if you run in those circles and know the contacts to make, then I'm sure he should know who his Auburn counterpart is. Hell, he could be a WEALTH of knowledge (no pub intended) for a lot of pay-for-play schemes if that's the case.
