Yeah kind of fell apart. Up 12 or 14 at one point and then basically stopped getting anything. Credit to Florida but the refs also had a huge effect on the momentum in this game, both ways

Houston really played stupid last 6 minutes.

I did. I was asking if they’d swallow the whistle at the end after the whistlefest of the second half.
I hate seeing Florida win, but it’s better than Duke, Kansas, Tennessee, Louisville, Arkansas, North Carolina or UConn winning it. All in all, the 2025 college basketball season was a lot of fun!

Florida is kind of like the somewhat retarded cousin that you don't mind winning every once in awhile. You've got to hear it from him every once in awhile at the Thanksgiving table, but other than that he's pretty harmless.
Did we win the 98 title in San Antonio?

Pretty nice to conveniently use a time frame that just leaves out kentuckys 2 titles and 3 final 4s to basically close out the 90s..

Yep. You know once Sampson sees that later he's going to be pissed.
That said, it still shouldn't have mattered.
Or just pump fake and let Clayton fly by then shoot it. Or just double clutch and throw something up so you've got a chance for a rebound, or attempt a pass to another player, or shoot the ball and make him make the block without fouling. You know, any number of things aside from just drop the ball in front of you.
In 1983, Houston comes up one play short of a title. 42 years later they make it back to the championship game and comes up one play short of a title. If Houston makes it to the title game in 2067, you know how to bet.
In the entire history of college basketball, only three times has a coach won a national title and then left for another university. It’s happened to us twice.
Why didn't they go back and fix the goal tend at halftime? They did that to us earlier this year.
The SEC needed this title. As good as this conference has been, there is still only 3 teams that have won it all and the 94 Arkansas championship was an anomaly.
Those 3 fouls in 9 seconds started a whistle fest that ruined the 2nd half IMO.
