Florida toast and Clayton might have sold out. How bad of a game can that guy have after 34 the other night.

I never understood Kentucky fans who were also SEC homers. Kentucky dominated the '90s with only one other elite team in the SEC, and that was Arkansas. Kentucky dominated the early 2010s with only one other elite team, and that was Florida.

Screw the rest of the SEC.

Why give Florida any bragging rights? They are a conference rival.

I’m still expecting a Clayton Jr flurry at some point, but I just think Houston is the better team. Just a reminder Florida has two NCAA titles and Golden is less than 40 years old. Houston has won zero. If anyone is on the fence, cheering for the Cougs should be a no brainer

This appears similar to playing a full court press team. The aggressive team gets rewarded because the refs don't typically call a foul every possession (even though they could by the book). As such, pressing teams get away with a lot of bumps and hacks that teams with normal pace and defense do not.

I wish that was true, but Florida still has Walter Clayton. He can score points quickly. He's not going down quietly in this game.
he’s not even looking for his shot. he just threw one out of bounds on a clear drive opportunity. it’s their style game. they’ll have to chip away or hope to get into transition. no doubt clayton will start forcing things if things don’t get stabilized.

Do coaches still teach shooters to have their feet directly below their shoulders on a jumper? Nearly every 3pt shot I’ve seen, the shooters have one foot in front of the other.
No. Shooting foot slightly ahead of the other foot and both feet turned to approximately 11:00 for righties and 1:00 for lefties.

They aren’t gonna call a big bunch of fouls in the national championship game. Let’s be real, no casual wants to watch a free throw contest. They want the best product on the court tonight. That means less foul calls

I would be shocked if Florida doesn't make a run.
But yeah, I'd rather Houston win. Florida’s coach is a turd.

you’re at the under 16 timeout against houston and have 30 points, while they’re already in the bonus. it would take miracle.

There's 15 minutes left. This is the same kid who scored 20 points in one half against Auburn.

That offensive foul by Condon that led to 36-30 was huge. It’s been nothing but bad for Florida from that point forward, considering being down 6 to that defense is like being down 12

This game is being well officiated minus a call here or there. Let's not forget the obvious goaltend that was a 5pt swing for Florida.

What needs to happen is Martin to step up until Clayton can get it going. Clayton needs to continue to get his teammates the ball until he can get going. They are double-teaming him. Get the ball to the open man.
