its as if people actually want and expect the damn death penalty for IU over some extra phone calls. it aint gonna happen, and it shouldnt happen. they were technically major infractions, but there are rankings of major infractions...this is nothing.
the guy had an assitant call a recruit and then patch thru the recruit to his phone when he wasnt supposed to. oh wow, how horrible.
it was clearly wrong to do, since he was explicitly told he cant do that. but come on, when does the punishment end?
the IU team is destroyed. they have 2 returning players, 1 a former walkon and 1 who is a walkon. 2 walkons to build a major program around. that right there is punishment enough. but IU went further and took away 3 scholarships too. they have 9 scholarship players this season.
really, if this isnt enough, then what is??? its phone calls we are talking about here.
