Our pitching numbers aren’t as bad as they look. The regional/super games were all against teams that can really swing the bat. All six were at DNF which plays tiny this time of year, and our pitchers all are seemingly way better away from home.

ND may have been the best offensive team in the country when we played them. Arizona is probably the only other team with a legitimate claim to that.

Kinda shocking how poor Vandy has been offensively in the tournament. Not only that they are dead last out of CWS teams in OPS, but the margin by which they are last. NC State, Tennessee, Texas, MSU, and UVA are all right there together in that .82 ~ 0.90 range, then you have Vandy pulling up the rear at 0.742.

I’m not shocked at all to see us last in ERA. Playing 3 games against Notre Dame will do that. They are one of the 2-3 best hitting teams in the whole tournament in my opinion…when you look at the numbers vs. the schedule they played.
