Respectfully, put me on the 180 side of this. I think Jax will destroy Ono in folkstyle. Every single entanglement will be an opportunity for Jax to score. Ono takedowns will be opportunities for Jax in folkstyle. His ball and chain is going to cause major issues for someone who's done freestyle their entire life. I will gladly eat crow but I think Jax and Seidel will be bad bad news for Ono.

Ono, is/was in the discussion for best P4P FREESTYLE wrestler in the world.
Folkstyle and freestyle are different animals. It’s as simple as that. It’s not like he’s a beginner, but he’s not a seasoned NCAA wrestler.
His mat game might be very suspect? It may be serviceable?
This. Look what Jax did to the very best folkstyle wrestlers. Only Davino didn't get bonused and he was hanging on for dear life all match long. Davino was in defensive/"I don't want to get bonused" mode the entire time. Not once did he threaten. He took one shot and Jax scored off of it. The rest of the match he was fighting off attacks and mostly turns. Wrestling Jax is seven minutes of pure hell because in any position you are about to get put on your back.

I think some are already known. Brayden Thompson, Jersey Robb are gone. Other possibilities:
Ronnie Ramirez - Hate to see him go, but unless he can make 125?
Tagen - where would he fit?
JJ McComas - doesnt fit anywhere
Kody Routledge - again, he is stuck, unless some weight changes are planned
Ethan Teague -another one that seems stuck
I have no personal knowledge of any of this, but logicially that is what i see.

Do Thompson and Robb still count as OSU? Could definitely see Hughes, Burton, McComas. Other sites generically throw out Ronnie and Routledge but I think there’s still a path for both and both are young enough that another non wrestling year in the room has upside. Could see Tagen pulling a second semester transfer if things don’t go his way at the start of the year.
I don’t necessarily see both Raney’s going next year so there’s a world where they prefer to keep their classification years the same (therefore room for Ronnie at 133). Given our lack of depth in the upper weights, I have to believe there’s room for Kody at 165 or 174 eventually.

At this point, I dont care who ends up going into portal as long as its not the NCAA champs. We can and will fill the rest of the sports with studs.
I can think of a number of other wrestlers I would not want to leave Stillwater. Like Dee, Cody, Dreshaun, the Raney's and Mike White. Saturday, I look forward to seeing Michael White wrestle Adam Waters. I hope White has been in Stillwater this week practicing.
There's not a guy on the team that I wouldn't be sad to see go unless they're causing issues/not doing their job.
It takes more than just starters to have a great team. And even a starter who didn't perform to expectations (Casey) was vital to making another starter into a championship
