Riek's nine-game suspension was apparently not allowed to include one. Why? "Each case is determined by their merits and these two cases were not the same," NCAA spokesman Bob Williams wrote in an e-mail response to The Blog today. Williams has not responded to a follow-up e-mail.</font>
