I mostly read on here and rarely post but this got my head spinning. ESPN has the most biased reporting of any reporting agency and I'm sicking of reading their ****. The last two paragraphs pretty much paint the picture as they see it, nevermind the fact that we played by the rules!

Sorry if German, but I didn't see it out there.

I thought it was pretty good. Its an interesting topic and it will be interesting to see how the NCAA handles it.

Seems like preventing the use of "recruiting services" (whatever the hell that is) would be step one.

How dare ESPN say Kenny Rogers played for us, and how dare they make a relevant comparison to third parties being involved in a kids recruiting.ESPN needs to get their facts straight before they continue on this witch hunt.

That was just a stupid comment by an ignorant poster, but I found this line in the story very interesting.:

The NCAA ruled that Cecil Newton, the player's father, was aware of Rogers' pay-for-play scheme to solicit $180,000 from Mississippi State boosters before his son signed with Auburn.

So it was Rogers scheme and not Cecils?
/I think not.

Oregon/Ducks mentions: 29<div>Auburn/Tigers mentions: 7</div><div>Mississippi State mentions: 2</div><div>Correct me if I'm wrong, but Kenny Rogers is a former player, and Cecil and/or Kenny did try to shake some of our boosters down.</div><div>
</div><div>I'm not so sure we're thrown under the bus here, we just happened to slip in all the duck fat that resulted from Oregon getting demolished in the previous 20 paragraphs.</div>

Slive is the one who threw us under the bus. Sorry bastard went on Finebaum and basically said it was all our fault. The fact that he was talking about the matter on a public venue(especially Finebaum) is sufficeient cause to fire his sorry *** in my opinion.

For Joe Schad to say it was Roger's scheme and not Cecil's is pretty ignorant.

Schad didn't throw us under the bus, but he also didn't paint a very accurate picture of what happened.

If I remember correctly, Seastrunk's final 3 schools were down to Oregon, USC and........Auburn. Hmmm. Looks like the barn got outbid on that one.
