It really was not my intention to dive into this when I responded. But your tagline of "gay man wins gold" was simply not accurate. A simple google search: "Jenner came out as a trans woman, saying that she had dealt with gender dysphoria since an early age". That does not make her a gay man.

Unless a sport is gender neutral then you should only be able to compete against your own birth gender as the physical differences are too pronounced.

It's already had an impact. And it's just beginning. How much unfairness is acceptable? "Oh, it's only harming a few". Is the NCAA there to promote fair competition or to enact liberal social engineering policies?

I haven’t rationalized anything. I’ve asked questions, stated that I’m not in favor of the current policy and am not a “leftist”....whatever that has to do with our conversation. I can actually not be in favor of the current policy and also say that it’s had such a minimal impact (1 out of 460,000 college athletes so far that have been pointed out in this thread) that I don’t understand why it’s such a big issue. It’s strange to me.
Sorry I said leftist. I don't have all the cases at my fingertips. I just posted the local accounts that I've heard about from reading the paper the last year or so. But if it's happening in this remote area, I'd guess there are many more examples. If not yet, just wait. Also, the example I posted about the Montana trans didn't just affect 1 person. It affected all women who who competed against that person.
I don't have time or really care to dig into this right now, but I've also heard that other states are banning this practice to protect their women athletes. Check this and you'll probably find other examples for these measures.
Not true. There are people born with genitalia that is different than the chromosomal sex they are born into.
What they feel and how they choose to live their life is none of my business....or yours.
I get the argument regarding transgender participation in sports....but a true transgender male is no more of a danger to a girl in a bathroom than another woman would be.
A man in a dress who preys on little girls in the bathroom is a pedophile or a rapist......not a transgendered person.

It's not but I linked to the mayo clinic. It's classified differently now and called GD instead of gender identity disorder, but it's still tested by the DSM-5 test. Like other disorders.
