substantiate his claim ? ... I know the guy hung what little integrity he had on the line by pulling that crap a week or so ago, but I think my point is made

He playing this out just to make profits down the road. If he has a source you know damn well that he will not give it up. I would bet that he thinks that the **** will hit the fan soon and he will be sitting there telling everybody "I told you so." In the future you will have people hounding him for information. If nothing comes out,he will be the biggest has been that ever was.

He has a source in the NCAA. Probably a very informed one as well. Sheridan has always said the NCAA is just trying to get the 'bagman' to talk now. He's even said he thought it was less than 50/50.

Everyone keep saying he's just trying to make money, but how does he make money off this? All I've seen him do so far is make a few radio show appearances. It's not like he host his own show (does he?), or sell subscriptions to a website.

I fully believe him.

Sheridan has been around forever and already has a name and reasonably nice career in his profession, he's not some up and comer or random blogger trying to make a career. Seems to me, by coming out with this like he has, he has much more to lose than gain out of this. No real reason to do this unless he is actually being genuine in saying what was told to him. Now that certainly doesn't mean that the source he has isn't full of crap or this won't all go away anyway but I think he really is passing along what he's been told. Just to add I have NO doubt that there are some within the NCAA that were totally pissed about Cam being immediately reinstated after his father fully admitted to shopping him to MSU and would likely not hesitate in wanting to get out to the public the type of info presumably given to Sheridan.

Most people in the sports world will know his name by now. I am surprised that he has not tried to take credit for taking the SEC championship game of the board during the time that no one knew Cam was declared ineligible.

so I don't think he needed this for people who know sports to know his name. And to be honest I haven't heard one mention of anything Sheridan claimed on Finebaum outside of a few regional sports talk radio shows here in the South.

your right by and large. It didn't make sportscenter or anything the day he gave the interview.

Finebaum's ratings go up because of the interview. Finebaum pays Sheridan for coming on show, saying there was a bagman, and boosting ratings.

Sheridan has already said he didn't get a dime from Finebaum for coming on. My point is Finebaum doesn't need to pay Sheridan for coming on his show 3 times over a month and a half to build ratings

It'd be one thing if it was Finebaum himself saying all this day after day to boost ratings, but that isn't the case.
