NCAA Tour. Will come down to MONEY.

How much money does the Selection Committee leave on the table with only 4 SEC teams? 11 wins you're in.

I say at least 5 maybe 6 teams make it.

It's all about the money in the NCAA.

plus, the cities bid, I don't know if number of tickets sold affects the NCAA's bottom line. It may, but it won't make a huge difference.

I agree. The checks have pretty much been cashed for this year's event. Another SEC school or two wouldn't amount to a hill of beans.

No offense, but I'll be spending none of my spare time working on my Sixpack quoting skills.

I'll leave it to others to either figure it out or go to the next thread.

by deep runs made by the mid majors and schools that would be considered anti-revenue.

Zero. Nada. None. You have no clue what you are talking about. Nobody is going to give a damn if an SEC team gets left out, and it sure as heck isn't going to hurt any ticket sales.

Most of us will pull for an SEC team .

NCAA loses most of the South with 4 teams in the Tourney. Why do you think ESPN moved to the SEC. You think it was ticket sales?

It's TV ads. UK will make it no matter what. They sell ads. Watch and see.

LSU,FL, UK and TENN are locks.
Now if we have 11 wins and UK has 10, We make it. They will not leave UK out. Wake up.</p>

....not SEC teams (Kentucky notwithstanding).

This year, the SEC's RPI is down; every SEC team has at least 1 bad loss (in most cases several bad losses); there are no nationally recognized star players in the SEC; every team in the SEC reeks of mediocrity.

No amount of money can fix the stink coming off the SEC this year.

On the other hand, the ACC & Big East (& even the C-USA with Memphis) are the conferences attracting the money.

It won't make a **** of difference in the ratings. And the ads are sold WELL in advance of the tourney. Who is in it has zero bearing on whether they sell.

further evidence that you have no clue what you are talking about. People are going to watch the tournament regardless of who is in it. You think people are going to tune out because a MSU or a Tenn is left out? Like I said, you don't know what you are talking about. Maybe you won't watch, but you are in a very tiny minority.

Our conference sucks. We don't have a divine right to parading a line of teams into the tournament. It is what it is.

Not difficult at all, apparently.
