I still would prefer Gus Johnson or the team of Lundquist and Raftery calling the final games, but getting rid of Packer was a BIG improvement.</p>
Packer set the precedent. Announcers make some absolute statement about what happened on a play, and NO MATTER what the replay shows they act as if it confirms their original statement.
i would agree that kellog is better than packer but he makes it difficult to enjoy watching the games. he is constantly talking about what happened two or three plays ago and getting in the way of nantz trying to do play by play. almost every time down the court, when a key play is occurring, he's talking about what just happened and trying to show how much he knows. much prefer raftery.
may have completely missed it but i did not notice bilas doing games this year. he is by far the best color analyst for college hoops. tells it like it is and only talks about what's relevant.

reitterating his point from 2 possesions ago while a key three pointer is being shot and not giving nantz or nance the chance to make a good call. jim is constantly having to rush through what just occurred because kellog won't shut up from belaboring some point. </p>
couldn't have said it better myself and kinda disappointed in myself for not make that connection. IN MY VIEW kellog is terrible and not only does he bring nothing to the broadcast he takes away from the good job jim nantcze does.
