16 games on Sunday and the winners were Stanford, Okla St, South Carolina, Oregon St, West Virginia, UConn, Syracuse, Iowa, UK, Michigan, Tennessee, VT, Baylor, NCST and South Florida. All better seeds won and the the ACC went 4-2 on the first day.

On my prognostications, I was 13-3. Wake Forest was asleep, FSU looked AWFUL and Fla. Gulf Coast tried but failed..

16 more today and it's #2 seed day, with the Cards, Maryland, Baylor and Texas A&M getting under way. North Carolina is the other ACC school playing today and will have their hands full with Bama.

The Cards play at 8 p.m. and it'll be on ESPN. I think it's Pam Ward, LaChina Robinson and Holly Row from the Alamodome calling it. Nick and AJ will have the CARDS RADIO 790 WKRD AM broadcast.

Let's not get overly cocky here, but...by how many do you think the Cards win by tonight? Who will they face next...Northwestern or Central Fla. Did you know Cardinal WBB signee Payton Verhulst's older sister Ashton plays for UCF? And, finally...the IU Hoosiers take the court and I truly hope it's "one and done" for them !

Prediction: 84-46 Louisville, Marist hasn't seen anything like Louisville in the MAAC and it'll be over earrly for Brian Giorgius' squad. I venture that Louisville will face UCF next.

As we went into the second quarter, I was thinking of some clever reply I was going to make to Sonja's post that started this thread. Then I watched the remainder of the game. Wow! Marist had its lowest score of the season and gave up the most points. It certainly shows what I know. I bow to the better judge of the Cards play in Sonja. As far as the game goes I thought our 6'4" freshman, Malea Williams. made two-three pointers. The Card´s bench erupted on the first one. Everyone looked pleased So much for the gossip about some adverse relationship problems based upon observing perceived facial expressions on a TV screen.
