Now that the field has been narrowed from 68 to 16, if you had a clean slate, who would you take to win it all?

Vegas has Kansas and North Carolina as favorites followed by Arizona, Gonzaga and UCLA.

AZ, Gonz, NC, KU and UCLA are the best teams remaining but I think Kentucky is most talented team left. Kansas has a tough match-up with Purdue coming up so I am learning toward NC right now taking it all.

I've had Zona vs KU from the beginning. Haven't seen anything yet to make me change my mind.

Im going with UNC Tarheels. They seem to rarely keeps kids past sophomore years but they load up with talent year in and year out. (Id kill to get half there recruits every year as a Husker)

For poster below to be happy and proud of himself.....i was wrong. UNC has had better luck these past 4 to 10 years or WHATEVER and keeping there players till there juniors and seniors. But oh well, its helping them this year in the tournament. So now no one is saying UNC losses there players early and have NOT had one leave early for years now. Now poster should be happy

KU looked the hottest getting into the sweet 16 but they've had a consistency problem all year.

I'm hoping for UNC.

Purdue. Only because I pulled them in our work pool. Instead of doing brackets, We pull a max of 5 teams each, Purdue was my only team to make it out of the first round.

Lol....what? NC is notorious for bringing in top high school recruits that won't or can't leave early because their draft stock plummets.

Everyone has different opinions. Still going with the UNC this year

That's not opinion, that's fact. The list of top level recruits that have stayed 4 years at NC is staggering compared to every other program in the country. H Barnes is the only one that left early and he even stayed two years. It's a huge reason they've become toxic to elite high school prospects lately.

Ok if you say so.... not agruing the recruiting part and leaving early. But like most top teams with top level recruits, most seem to leave early and UNC has HAD the same issues in the past. None the less, im still taking the UNC Tarheels. I see a lot of experts are at least picking UNC to the final 4 (one picking them to win it) and some picking UCLA to knock them out of it. So it appears im not far off.

Just for this year and bracket only im a Tarheels fan
Go UNC Tarheels (God i hates saying that)!!

UNCs best player last year made himself a first round draft pick because he stayed all 4 years.

One and Dones haven't produced jack. Save 2012 and 2015. Other years they go home early.

The way UNC does it is the ideal way.

Plus the possible sanctions are why the top recruits have stayed away.

Just cause a player leaves early doesn't mean they are ready for the NBA. Teams are suckered into drafting them.

Name the one and done players NC has produced. Now name the players that have stayed only 2 years besides H Barnes. UNC DOES NOT have the problem of players leaving early like other top programs. Hell, look at this year's squad that is littered with 3 and 4 year players.

I think you like purposely did not read the part i were i said i wasn't arguing that part. Because your right, this is one of the most experienced UNC teams in awhile with juniors and seniors. So moving on....UNC will win this years championship, thats my only point!

Just stop it. You're either clueless about UNC basketball or full of it. Let me help you out with some facts about NC since you claimed they rarely keep guys past their sophomore years. In 12 years they have lost a paltry 2 players as one and done (M Williams and B Wright), in the same span they have lost only one player in two years or less (H Barnes). All the other guys they have had stayed at least 3 years with many staying g all 4 years including guys Hansbrough, Graves, May, Green, Lawaon, Ellington, etc.. They are literally a joke these days to top level recruits because of this. Do you want to compare that the the other big boys like Kentucky, Duke, etc?

Ok, your right (ill say it again for the third time) they havent had an early leaver in a while. And i did not see any where im my post where i was saying or arguing the point UNC loss there guys early. It appears i was saying your right and they been keeping there guys longer. So if you want that leaving early deal to stop, then drop it. Your the only one arguing the issue. I already moved on since my very first post saying they had early outs, I WAS WRONG by several 5 or 10 or longer years. You won, i was wrong. Still saying UNC wins the championship though (thats where im right).

Could it be the kids going to and staying at UNC want more than a year of the college experience.

Eilte talent without good money managers and good people around them won't have long term success in life. Not saying that's automatic at UNC but so many kids who can't handle the money and have one contract and done or bounce around without being the NBA elite they projected to be. UK has shown it can be done but how many other schools are.doing it at that rate?

I'm not UNC fan, the academic scandal should have meant multiple years ban and millions paid in fines for violations of federal law.
